Bro, involve the police. They will make the bank release the man's details. He will be arrested and made to pay all expenses.

The man is heartless! You did him a favor and this is how he paid you back. Unfortunately this makes one think twice about helping others out.
I’d say you just let it go, and consider this as lesson learnt.

They have him on Camera that he stole right inside the Bank and he's the Bank customer.
Request to see the branch or the operations manager, they will do something about it.

I no believe, there is more to this story or there's something you're not telling us. An elderly man of 50. If you say it were a young guy in his 20s now, I for believe you

Involve the police go with police men and request to see their manager you will spend money but you won't spend up to that 70k before you recover your power bank
Only a court can force them to give out the number, unless the police has informal relationships in that bank nothing helpful will happen
Re: Help Please: How Can I Retrieve My Powerbank. by MEGAWATCH: 2:51pm On Jan 01
Please go and make a formal police report and send it to the bank, the bank will formally block his account until she comes back with the power bank.

This is a criminal matter please.

Good evening my fellow Nairalanders.

On the 28th of December, I went to Access bank to request for a new ATM card. While waiting for my turn, another customer, an elderly man of around 50years reached out to me saying i should help him out with my powerbank so he can power his phone and set his mobile app of which i obliged. I gave him the powerbank, when the bank staff was attending to me; the old man left the banking with my powerbank.

I quickly remember and raised alarm. His form was later sort out and his phone number was called. He picked and said he won't bring the powerbank. He ended up blocking the staff number. I requested they give me his number so i can trace him. They refuse and said it's against their policy.

The powerbank is very costly. Pls what can i do get my property
Sure about this 28th Dec? That's a Sunday.

Report the matter officially to the bank. Just look for an hungry lawyer that can take 5k or write for you pro bono requesting for the cctv footage of the day and drag them that their customer in that bank dupe you on the floor of their bank, add them to the case, you will see how they will quickly get the man for you.

Even if you track the man down, he can deny. How can you prove the PowerBank belongs to you without the powerbank serial number on your receipt?

I've been so moody since this incident
this is a theft that happened in the bank and you have the right to demand viewing of the CCTV footage for that day and time.

if they fail to do this then you can name them as accessory to crime. pour charges for their body.

Have you done this?
Re: Help Please: How Can I Retrieve My Powerbank. by Kingsasian(m): 3:04pm On Jan 01
That power bank is not your usual power bank. It is a 130w power bank which can power your 32 inch TV
