Plateau Gov Mutfwang quits PDP

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has formally withdrawn his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), citing the need for focused leadership, clear direction and improved service delivery.

In a letter dated 29 December 2025 and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ampang West Ward in the Mangu Local Government Area, the Governor announced his resignation with immediate effect.

The letter, acknowledged by the ward leadership a day later, conveyed appreciation to the party for affording him the opportunity to serve within the democratic system.

Mutfwang thanked party leaders and supporters for their backing over the years, noting that prevailing political circumstances necessitated his decision.

The development has stirred political interest in Plateau, with speculation that the governor may align with the APC, though no formal declaration has been made yet.

If he joins APC,like he'll likely do, they'll vilify him, but if he joins ADC, they'll sing his praises.

Some lawmakers joined the ADC yesterday and everyone acted like it's normal, no noise, no abuses and curse they've always been directing towards people who did same earlier.

This politics, if you no use your head, politicians will whyne you and use your head for you.

See, the truth is majority of us are just blaming Wike for PDP's destruction. Even some of us might do worst.
Imagine you financing the party when heavyweights like Atiku will run to Dubai after loosing an election. Yet you were bankrolling the party and other state Governors like Tambuwal. Now it's time for another election and you are supposed to be considered yet the one who runs to Dubai after loosing will want to clinch the party ticket on a platter of gold and those that you supported who are supposed to fight for you will still betray you.

I don't know if you have ever experienced such scenarios in real life outside of politics. It pains one to the marrow. Infact, God saved Fubara. Wike wanted to unleash Atiku and Tambuwal betrayal anger on Fubara. If not for Tinubu intervention.
