On 25th December 2025 which was Christmas Day, something happened in my home that has been disturbing my mind, and I really want to know if I was wrong.

After cooking all day with our house help, we finally finished preparing the meals. We used three chickens for the Christmas food. When it was time to serve everyone, I dished my husband’s meal, mine, the kid's, and I also served my help. I gave her four chicken feet and two chicken heads.

Personally, I feel chicken feet is fleshy, and some people even prefer it. I didn’t see anything wrong with what I served her because she also ate out of everything we cooked... fried rice and salad.

But what happened next shocked me.

My husband suddenly got angry. He went straight to the kitchen, called her there in my presence, and started asking her why I gave her “only chicken feet.” Before I could even explain, he began shouting at me in front of her.

He said I was wicked… that Christmas is for everyone… and that I was treating her badly.
When I told him I didn’t want anyone going back into my pot after I had already served the food, things escalated. He got upset over my reluctance to yield to his demands. In the heat of the moment, he slapped me.

All this happened simply because I didn’t want the maid to return to the pot to take another chicken part. I honestly felt disrespected and humiliated especially because it happened in front of the help.

Now, I’m confused....

Was I really wrong for serving her chicken feet and head? Is chicken feet such a terrible part to give someone on Christmas? Honestly, that is what I usually serve her whenever we prepare chicken.

Judging from her background, I'm not sure she's had the luxury of eating chicken feet. So, why is my husband acting up considering that the maid is no more a kid. She is 13 years.

I called my girlfriend yesterday and she said my husband overreacted, and he may be having an affair with her. Do you think she may be right?

If the chicken feet was so fleshy and nutritious, why didn't she share them among her kids?

Regardless, saying her husband overreacted would be an understatement. His actions portray him as an abuser.

So, how is he different from his wife that he was trying to scold for mistreating the maid?

If chicken feet and head was as fleshy as you claim, why did she not serve it to herself or to her husband and children?

And I bet he slapped you because you were playing voltron arguing that you were right, and therefore literally asked to be slapped in front of your maid.

But I really don't know how you intend to survive this, I dare say, because he really humiliated you, and a flip side is if your husband is making the maid his second wife, and whom he might prefer to you. I sure wouldn't be surprised if he's thinking he mismarried.

You are fortunate if you are uneducated and have no means of earning, or you'd most definitely need to consider dumping that man and going to seek a man who aligns with your ideology of feeding dog food to the maid on Christmas day! But as it is, change your ways and grovel and hope you get him to love you more.

Oh! And get rid of that maid!

Better go and apologize to your husband, then on Sunday use your money buy chicken cook it and serve everyone good parts and there will be harmony and peace in your home forever.

If this story is true, the woman is wicked. She no try at all.

You have failed as a mother. Imagine you had an emergency, travelled and left your child with someone then you came back and met your child eating 4 solid chicken legs and two heads and the woman’s children eating 2 laps each then she tells you that she likes you very well that is why she gave your child 6 pieces of chicken and her children 2 each. Do the maths madam.I guess you will hug her and praise her.

I will like to hear the husband's side if the story before declaring you as being wicked or extremely evil. She even said the 13yr old kid haven't had the luxury of feasting on chicken leg .
Same chicken legs you give to her on a norms day, you didn't deem it fit to give her a better portion on a Christmas day but legs and head which we give our dogs is what you qualified as best for your maid, hmm its well.
Although the husband shouldn't have slapped her in front of the maid but i still need to hear his part if he truly did.

I called you out because your post implied that the story was false, and it wasn't possible to kill three chickens and give someone only the chicken feet and head.

You spoke very well until you mentioned sending the maid away. The maid was summoned, the maid didn't complain. The head of the house noticed an abnormally and decided to address it (though wrongly).

The maid might be related to the family of the man (assumption). The man might have come from a humble beginning and this act only reminded him of his past. He is definitely not having an affair with the maid else she would've chipped it in.

The woman is evil and doesn't believe in fair treatment.

Lol... Comprehension issues is at play here. Let me clarify: There is nothing strange about the story because most madams are guilty of it.

Does that mean I approve of it? No..... It's like saying kidnapping is not strange, but that doesn't mean we approve of it.

At least not me. Maybe check yourself. Because I only commented on what you posted. And I don't remember saying if anything was right or wrong. You are the one that brought up the whole issue of normal occurrence actually because you were trying to rubbish what I commented initially. Without a full comprehension of that comment.

With my initial comment. I think it's a fake story. But I commented because I thought it was hilarious giving someone 4 chicken feet and 2 chicken heads. Not because I thought the story was real.

If you didn't find my joke funny maybe you should have moved on rather than take the matter too seriously and start asking me if I'm okay.

The friend already concluded the husband might be having an affair with a 13 year old girl? This is why I don't subscribe to women given themselves advice. They see things from the emotional viewpoint rather than logical. The man obviously sees the maid as a daughter not necessarily a biological one,as a father he won't the happy seeing his own daughter dished such a part despite the fact 3 big chicken were slaughter.The only mistake the man made here was slapping her in the presence of the maid but who am I to judge,we are all human and can loose our cool at the heat of the moment.
