keemsleek:And you are proud to say that? Are you not aware that collecting money under threat and intimidation is a crime all over the world? Joining or not joining a union is voluntary according to the Nigerian constitution. That's what Dangote (a so called "aboki" has been trying to lecture you NURTW, PENGASSEN supporters. |

Racoon:Oga face front! Agberos are everywhere you go including your state and their attitude are not different except their aggressiveness which maybe due to pressure of their target. Tinubu didn't create them as they've been in existence like other trade union. What you people fail to understand about the Agberos in Lagos is that the major routes they're plying has no motor parks so this has been the reason agberos collect their money on bus stops instead of inside motor park |

I want to ask. What is the job or meaning of a union? What about association? Apart from the money collected from motorist, those stickers the drivers always buy, what does it mean? benardtotti: |

| Re: The Effects Of Levy Collections By Lagos Road Unions On Drivers, Commuters &smes by wirinet(m): 9:42pm On Jan 02 |
Love800:All these unions like NURTW, PENGASSEN, NUPENG, etc., force people to become members, and then use force, threats and intimidation to collect union fees daily, sometimes per trip. Agberos on the other hand are agents of the Local Government, their oga is given a local government ID card, and a bus stop to operate. He then hires boys to be collecting dues from bus drivers, kekes or Okadas that stops at that bus stop. The boys submit to their ogas, who in turn submit to the ogas at the local government. |

There is a reason why these crooks didn't like Fashola. This is one of the routes monies get to certain people in Lagos. I won't be surprised if it has been exported to other states. Someone will wake up and start billing someone with no value from the monies collected for the payers. |

I really appreciate. But does unions uses boys/thugs to collect dues the same way local government do? Am sorry for my late comment. wirinet: |
