But you see this streaming thing… that’s one space I still don’t fully understand.

I respect the effort these guys put in, and the financial rewards. No hate at all. But till today, I honestly can’t wrap my head around what viewers find so entertaining.

Take our local streamers as example—Peller, Carter Efe.

Carter Efe is mostly shouting, running around, and being chaotic. I can barely sit through five minutes. Peller just talks nonstop—half the time it feels like pure gibberish.

Even the guy called Ishowspeed, I find his contents online sometimes and I can't really make any sense out of it.

And yet… millions are locked in.!

Maybe this is just my sign that age is catching up with me..

Because I remember how our parents couldn’t understand why Sisqo’s “Unleash the Dragon” was such a big deal back then.

No it means you are very intelligent. Half the time the content is rather dull and dumb peeps join in to watch. Nigeria is sort of a joke maybe that's why comedians are very popular in the Nigerian Online space.

I'm on YouTube and I'm getting like 200 views a Video maybe it's because I do not jump up and down or scream and shout. O I understand why Nigerians are jumping up and down and shouting, one is because the lazy naija online half literate viewers like that sort of thing and it's because of the algorithms, the AI bots may be trained to push videos with sound or movement to the " front page ". Me I'm in my mid 40's I cannot jump up and down like that anymore and if I was younger I can never make a fool of myself.
There's this babe on YouTube called Sade Johnson or LiberatedGirl_SJ who just shows her beautiful face without saying a word and her videos get like 54k views. Just face alone and she is getting views without saying a word.

Me, I can't kill myself.
I think most of the people making the most money are not doing anything special even Mr. Beast, his content does not appeal to me at all but I'm just in the minority.

Everyone should find his or her audience at the end of the day.
