2027 Elections Will Be A Walk-Over For Tinubu – Leke Abejide by SlavaUkraini(op): 2:00am On Jan 03
The Chairman, House Committee on Customs, Leke Abejide, has said the forthcoming 2027 elections will be a walk-over for president Bola Tinubu.

Abejide expressed this optimism on Friday during an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.

He said Nigerians are happy enough with President Tinubu to give him another chance as President in 2027

"Poverty has reduced below more than 50%. That’s what so many people have seen that this government is actually working, and the reforms are beginning to bring results.

“Part of the results is what I just told you now that food inflation has passed and people are now happy, the workers, especially in the state and the federal now receive their salary.

" I don’t think there is any state in Nigeria now that the civil servants are being owed. ere is any and civil servant.

“So I believe with this and what to come in this new year, by the time the election comes, it will be a work over,” he said.

There is a part of me that finds the malignant lack of checks and balances in supposed democracy, very disturbing. The legislature has spent more time campaigning for the executive than doing their actual job.

Sadly, they aren't thinking about the democratic wishes of the Nigerian mass.

They are looking at the power of INEC, the judiciary and the ruling party via various governors and politicians who have decamped to APC.

In their own words 2027 elections is a walkover for them. I am not disputing that.
However my main concern is why are they always agitated when a certain Peter Obi sneezes or coughs.
Is there something they know that we don’t know that puts them in a state of panic and confusion at the mention of Okwute’s name?

Leke Abejide’s comment reflects confidence, but elections are never a walk-over. Public mood, economic realities, and opposition strategy will ultimately decide 2027. Ire o

There is more to the 2027 elections than meets the ordinary eye. Some people might not even feature or participate in it. If you know, you know. It's quite a long journey. May God see us through.

As long as Tinubu is hail and hearty, he will win easily. Much easier than 2023.

Who made this country the capital of extreme poverty, if not the expired Buhari that Tinubu packaged as APC change messiah?

How has poverty reduced to the level that we had in 2015 under PDP’s deregulation and privatisation agenda of widespread prosperity with high employment huh

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

It all depends on the citizens,
How many of us has voters card, how many especially in Lagos that moves out or let me use a more understandable word park out of their old house , from one location to another far local government area, I once lived in bariga, the week I moved I couldn't get my voters card , so I didn't vote, many are here making noise, how many nairalanders have voters card?
Even the ones that have will rather stay at home and be talking about politics rather than going to the polling boot, some that love Peter obi or want a change will go with their card on that day and sell their vote to APC for 3k,
I am not in support of APC or ADC,
But tinubu policies have destroyed so many Nigerian,
We want a turn around, atiku might be worse, obi will be controlled by northern cabals

Tinubu is OTP, One Term President, and he's seen the hand writing on the wall that's why they've become jittery with all of them suddenly becoming spokesperson for the government.

Minister for Aviation have abandoned his job and taken over Bayo Onanuga's job. Onanuga himself have taken over the job of the Minister for information and content creation, while Daniel Bwahala is now the spokesperson for APC.

2027 is here. Peter Obi, the name that gives them BP is COMING.

If the election is conducted today, 3rd of January 2026, looking at the political situation of the country...I also think Tinubu will edge it.

Politics is dynamic, things change as we progress into 2026/2027 ...so, if the opposition can really settle down and start massive grassroots mobilisation and also put their selfish interests asides, backing a very strong candidate....they have a chance.

But as at today, Tinubu edges it.

Nigeria's politics is not sentiment or emotions...the opposition, as at today, doesn't have what it takes to win the Presidential elections yet. For example, they don't have a recognised candidate that it's certain the entire opposition forces (ADC, NNPP, PDP, APGA) are solidly behind.
Some of these popular opposition are still having legal battles on who the main Executives are ..
Also, coalition in ADC still have individual sentiments on who exactly will be the flag bearer.

So, many technical key issues yet to be resolved...it's for this reasons one will know as at today, Tinubu wins..if election is conducted today.

That's why I said, tomorrow, if things get clearer... opposition has a very good chance

Who are they? Just count only yourself. @ least A bag of rice during 2023 elections was 38-40k with minimum wage of 32k, Now it's 50-60k at minimum wage of >70k. Suffering seems part of Nigerians due to curruption and entitlement mindsets and no Angel can eradicate it.
