When the windows are closed and the A/C system is turned on, passengers do not feel like the vehicle is speeding. There’s really no need for this theatrical publicity stunt by the NPF. AJ and his fellow travellers are not toddlers on a school excursion. If the driver was overspeeding, it was entirely within their rights to rein him in.

The police would do well to focus on matters that actually demand their attention, rather than manufacturing tension where none exists and mistaking calm situations for crime scenes. A little less showmanship, a little more sense.

Have they bothered to arrest the trailer driver and the owner who parked that vehicle there? Nigeria keeps chasing shadows. This idea of leaving broken down vehicles on the side/shoulders of highways, should be discouraged. It should be an offense to leave a broken down vehicles on our roads, they should be removed immediately. Road Safety Corps always leave their primary duty and instead they concern themselves with things that has nothing to ensure actual road safety.
