Kukutente23:Thanks for your best analysis why it is not normal for Seyi to say good things that came from fg as support for over 2 years.. Thank you for letings us know that transparencing is an abomination in this political dispensation . Thank you for letting us know that givers are the Sinner when the receiver failed to declare what was given to him over 2 years BCS it is never completed. Thank you for sweet wording to cover up why Seyi initially deneyed the receipt of the fuñds untill Evidences was posted against him . why did he Deneyed and insulted Fayose who alleged him untill Evidences was posted ?. Thank you for your ability to defend the work assigned to you. |

Wallade:Is it the 20billion that is not yielding interest somewhere... You faulting the wrong person. Why was 20billion withheld. Atleast, we know what the 30billion is for. Go and check the papers given to Fayose as an attack dog, it says 50billion, if not, he wont have said 50billion. He thought he was doing Makinde, but he only displayed the con artists in FG.... |

Wallade:Which Financiers are you talking. Someone approved 50billion only 30, kept 20. If FG was financing, then the onus is on FG to declare and let Nigerians know what they financing and what the financing structure look like. You all keep defending thievery with full chest. The governor was wise not to spend that fund till what was approved was disbursed to avoid stupid folks like the ones I reading here. |

Kukutente23:Do you remember the parable of the servants who were given talents in the bible. Do you remember the one that went to hide his talents in the ground and when the master asked about the talents, he brought the one inside the ground. The master took it off him and gave to the one that used his talents. It will be more useful in the hands of the productive servant. You asked for ₦100B but ₦50B was approved for you and shortly ₦30B was released to you and then you went to hide or keep the money in a commercial bank account and claim that you were waiting for the balance of ₦20B before you start utilizing it for the purpose that you asked. Doesn't that sound ridiculous! Nonsense. |

vanitybutiwanti:Mr defender, which company did wike have before entering politics ? I have his resume in my palms even long before he became the LG chairman in rivers. All the money he made, either by hook or crook, was through politics. Makinde was multi billion rich before entering pioitics. He owns a thriving Oil and Gas Company. No politician is a saint but makinde isn't a thief. I'm not from oyo, neither am I a pdp member. I also didn't say wike didn't work as governor in rivers, using rivers money. With godfather in place, that 30bn left in the account of oyo state for so long would have vanished long ago. Unlike many governors, he didn't even invest the money. Its same amount he received that's there. |

Wallade:Lol This one has taken matters of public accountability to the bible Is the Bible the fiscal responsibility act of the budget or anti-money laundering act? Anyways, in the same parable you referred to, the master actually recommended to the servant that he should have taken the talent given him to the bank to keep instead of burying it which is exactly what Seyi Makinde did in this case. (See Matthew 25:14-30) Secondly, the money was not released "shortly" but 11 months later The illustration you gave is the reason why we have so many uncompleted projects littering our country. Oyo-Ogbomoso expressway is still uncompleted after over 20 years due to the mentality of piecemeal and haphazard release of approved funds. The sad thing is how the cost has ballooned over time with no tangible result to match it. In project management, funds release should have a timeline that should be adhered to. Anything outside this is opening the door for waste and looting. Rubbish |

adekolaelect:Most of you are simply ignorant of due process The FRA 2007 mandates FG to publish all its spending on a monthly basis. Check on the open treasury portal and govspend, you'll not see any such transaction which means it was not reported by FG in contravention of the law. The FG has a responsibility to announce the payment just as it did for Niger and Borno states which later turned audio and for all the states during the subsidy palliative scam. If the govt could announce scams, how come they found it difficult to announce genuine transactions if not that they were also planning to chop the 20bn. This is two years. Where is the 20bn? Seyi Makinde never denied receiving money. He denied receiving 50bn and that fact stands till today |

Wallade:This is a foolish way to execute a project. It's obvious you're not a project manager. Funding is an important aspect of project management and only a dullard will start a project when the source of funding is not stable. If N300m is forwarded to my account instead of N500m, I'll raise a query for the balance reminding them of the importance of adequate funding for the success of the project. If I don't get a response, the project will be put on hold until I get a cogent, straightforward response about funding arrangements. This is important for ease of accountability and transparency and more importantly, to ensure the project will be completed Anticipation is not a valid plan for financing in project management BTW, you're still making the same mistake. That project will not be completed since the total cost is N1B and you have only 30% fund with you with approval for max 50% funds. So how do you intend to complete the project? I'm sure you're looking to deliver substandard result and endanger lives. Typical APC mentality |

Kukutente23:Can you see how you sound ? It is only the responsibility of the giver to announce what is given not the receivers? The questions you should asked if you have humans emperty is " has he borrowed to settle those need to be compensated base on the topic of the funds before he decided to keep the 30b unused in the bank ? Does he has the feelings of his people and love for heart for keeping what is meant to be distributed in a bank for up to 2 years? If he has borrowed to do that where did it appeared in the state expenses that the money was borrowed from the state that will later return when the FG make complete payment of the said funds ? Is it how the FG failed to write in the report mater to you or who suffered and what made it impossible for your pay master to be transparent in his style of governance ? Are you not concerned about those that need to benefit from the said funds kept in the bank by your pay master? Are you not feeling shame for this work given to you? Lastly pls can you tell me the difference between what your pay master did and what many of them did during COVID palliative saga? |

adekolaelect:What is obvious throughout this thread is that most of you did not even get the right info nor read Makinde's statement in the Op before you jumped on his back. The state has already compensated all those who needed to be compensated. You sef reason am if you get sense. So it makes sense to you to leave the victims in the hospital and without houses from January till November when the FG released piecemeal money? So where do you expect the victims to live for 11 months? Where do you expect the victims to get money for their treatment if Makinde is waiting for FG? Have you seen any victim come out since 2024 to say they've not been compensated or taken care of? The money requested was to rebuild some roads and infrastructure affected by the explosion not for the victims. That's what was reduced to 50bn from 100bn requested and then only 30bn was released after almost a year So before you do zombie work abeg get yourself properly informed!! |

Nu Kukutente23:weldone political Jobber . I asked you did Seyi told his people that he borrowed state funds to pay compensations which he had already requested from the FG? Can you tell his plans on the undisclosed funds stached in the bank for over 2 years? Are you saying it was the best decisions for saying for not disclosed what was given to him by fg and for keeping the funds in a bank for up to 2 years ? Politicians are not the major problems but many of you their Defenders . |

Eriokanmi:Governors in Nigeria have the power to make a nonentity a billionaire over night so why do you expect wike to be broke? Are you from Rivers? Even before wike became governor and minister of education, he already had a company which was into construction, leasing and manufacturing, the fact that you dont see it on his resumes was because those ventures were side hustles while he was an active political player. Real Rivers people know, as a matter of fact, a company he established since his LGA chairmanship days got a contract in the NLNG $10b project and mind you Buhari was president then. You speak with certainty about wike, Wikes businesses cuts across oil and gas, Banking, hospitality, healthcare, large scale farming, construction and other Ventures we are not privy to. How do you even reckon politicians get rich? You think they just move state money into an empty bank account? Let me school you, politicians in Nigeria get rich by awarding contracts to firms they are affiliated to, upon execution of the project, the kickbacks they get from the projects is how they get rich. Wike has a lot of vehicles actively employing people and adding value in the state. Its just like Tinubu who awarded the $10b coastal road project to his hitech, the Alpha Beta contract in lagos and the oando deal he facilitated as soon as he became president. Is alpha beta not adding value and employing people? Is oando not employing people? What about hi tech? The fact that you don't like an individual doesn't mean you should go around talking about things you know nothing about. Wike also had all his three kids in the US, you think if he was a broke lowlife, he'd have achieved that? |
