They should make it 40 states with APC
Re: Number Of States Controlled By Parties: 2007 Vs 2026 by Seeplusplus:
Atiku go still lose next year. E sure me die.

Atiku is a Fulani but he's politically shortsighted like the average igbo politician. May be it's because he's friends with them.

In 2015, instead of Atiku to queue behind Goodluck and support his reelection with an agreement that Goodluck will support him when he finishes his tenure, naive Atiku allowed Tinubu used his dumb head to go form APC, not knowing that Tinubu and Buhari already had an agreement.

In 2023, instead of Atiku to do everything possible to have Obi on his side, again, he allowed the useless man to split votes and allowed Tinubu easy access to the presidential villa

Obi, on the other hand, instead of him to maintain his position as a running mate to Atiku and build his network if he gets to Aso Rock, he foolishly allowed the social media hype get to him. Both men lost, even though their votes combined could have been enough to make them win.

All of a sudden, the two shortsighted folks now want to work together to defeat a sitting president, something they know is nearly impossible, especially because of how desperate the person they are up against is

If igbos don't rule Nigeria in the next 30 years, blame it on Obi. He's too shortsighted politically, same as Atiku.

And that is where Tinubu has an edge over them. He carefully calculates his move before he makes them, unlike Atiku and Obi that just jump at anything out of desperation for power.

Useless men

The outlook is not looking good for oppositions..no matter the metrics we want to use.

I strongly believe opposition will need to swing some state governors before the election..if they can get atleast 8 more, together with the power of the masses...things can change...else, make dem forget am.

In the 2007 elections the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) dominated most states, winning about 28–31 of the 36 state governorships, while the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) had a few and the Action Congress (AC) had Lagos.
Re: Number Of States Controlled By Parties: 2007 Vs 2026 by UTILITYMAY(m): 12:35pm On Jan 03
The leadership of these opposition parties are so clueless. Even if it is true APC/Tinubu is the one infiltrating their parties, it shows how incompetent they are to allow such to happen. Any party who has failed to hold their party affairs, has no business in ruling or leading Nigeria.
Re: Number Of States Controlled By Parties: 2007 Vs 2026 by Gaabasky: 12:38pm On Jan 03
They are afraid of their shadows that's why they are decamping. The only strong and viable opposition leader he is currently in the opposition party and his name is Wike.
The others are just opportunistic waiting from the crumbles from Atiku's table to feast and the remnant ones are obidients those people hmmm.

28 pdp states In 2007 it was not one party state, but 28 APC states in 2026 it became one party state.

When PDP had 28 governors in 2007, Yar’adua conveniently won the presidential election in 2007. By 2015 the number of PDP governors have fallen to 20 and APC had 15. Two of the PDP governors openly opposed Jonathan’s reelection. That was how Jonathan lost in 2015.

If history is to repeat itself, it’s going to be an easy victory for APC and Tinubu in 2027.

Atiku will pick ADC ticket to enhance APC win. Since 2019, thats what Atiku hss been doing. Atiku was one of those that founded APC, he supports APC till date.

I'm happy you know your portion this 2026, you are smart for saying what you want for yourself. So congrats for knowing you will have a fruitless 2026. I have the right to support whoever I want and you have the same right too but I'm sure I always support the winning and progressive team just like you and born to lose.
