Attacks Intensify Across Northern Nigeria After U.S. Strikes by Pakute(op): 7:28pm On Jan 03
Armed groups have intensified attacks across several northern Nigerian states following United States air strikes on Islamic State-linked militants in Sokoto State.

According to a report by The Punch, at least 47 people were killed and 35 others abducted between December 25, 2025, and January 2, 2026, in attacks carried out by bandits as well as fighters linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

The attacks affected communities in Adamawa, Zamfara, Kwara, Plateau, Nasarawa, Yobe, Kano and Kebbi states, The Punch said, citing its review of security incidents during the period.[i]

The surge followed U.S. air strikes announced by President Donald Trump on Christmas Day. Trump said the strikes targeted Islamic State militants in north-western Nigeria and warned that further action would follow if attacks on Christians continued.

Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters later confirmed the operation, saying intelligence had identified terrorist elements in the area and that damage assessments were ongoing.

[i]Despite the strikes, there has been renewed violence across multiple states. In Adamawa State, the chairman of Hong local government area, Usman Inuwa, said that Boko Haram fighters killed 14 people in nighttime attacks on the villages of Mubang and Zar, near the Sambisa forest.

In Plateau State, at least seven farmers were killed in an attack in Jos South local government area, while 16 women were abducted and two people killed in an assault on Sabon-Layi village in Zamfara State, the report said.

Gunmen also carried out coordinated attacks on several villages in Kebbi State, killing at least eight people, according to The Punch. In Kwara State, traditional ruler Oba S.Y. Olaonipekun and one of his sons were abducted in the Ifelodun local government area.

ISWAP separately claimed responsibility for a mortar attack on a Nigerian military base in Goniri, Yobe State, though the extent of damage was unclear, the newspaper reported.

In Kano State, bandits attacked multiple villages in Shanono local government area, engaging troops in a gun battle that lasted several hours.

A Nigerian Army spokesman told The Punch that the attackers were repelled and that no civilians were killed.

The newspaper also reported signs of militant displacement following the U.S. strikes, with community sources saying fighters were attempting to move into parts of Niger and Kaduna states through border areas.

By contrast, The Punch said it found no reported attacks in Sokoto State since the air strikes, with residents attributing the lull to the disruption of militant hideouts.

US will never back down that's very sure. Moslems that want to practice Sharia should relocate to Afghanistan or Iran.
Nigeria is a secular state and has no place for state religion.
There's no state in the North without many Christian communities. Today many of those communities have been sacked by jihadists who kill, rape and maim anyone who's not a moslem because their religion and Sharia gave them the backing to kill. The Government of Nigeria has consistently not protected Northern Christians

The Criminal in the white house is more afraid of the terrorists in Nigeria. That was why the US operations failed woefully in Nigeria.
I told wailers and Bitter Obidients that the US airstrikes in Nigeria was audio that was why they couldn't release a single picture till date. If the operation was successful, the US would have released some pictures for brag. Compare to the operations in Venezuela where Trump and the Department of war released pictures within 12 hours.

It took CIA agents closer to Maduro to infiltrate him and divulge the fortress where he and his family were residing. It was his trusted allies that gave him out to the US.

Tell them. Sokoto bombing is a test of microphone. More deadly ones are on the way. Trump means business and I had said this even before he invaded, that he's talk and do. He will take out all their sponsors too. Just watch.

Sadly, the ragged terrorists won't be told by their sponsors their end is imminent. Some of their sponsors could end up running away but they'd be caught. All eyes should be on them by now.

And to those still doubting terrorists were targeted and neutralised in sokoto by the US, all because they didn't see burnt corpses, watch the Venezuela attacks. I didn't expect to see any single corpse because it was a military operation, with the collaboration of NA. They must have taken their body away and cordoned off the place.

How many bombed sites of terrorists by the Nigeria military were shown to the media in Nigeria? You'd just hear that they bombed and neutralised a number but hardly would they show their bodies. It would have been unprofessional of the army to have done so.

What makes you so sure that US military operations might be over in Nigeria ?

Would this expectation be wishful thinking on your part?

How ppl forget quickly that Gumi is a close friend of Atiku and Obi

In 2015, Gumi followed Atiku to beg Obj to support Atiku-Obi ticket

Atiku or Obi have never condemned terrorism nor security breach affecting them

I continue to say it that Atiku, Dino, Saraki and Obi needs to be watched, they may have hand in the insecurity for political gain.

They have no past achievements in governance, only insecurity is their campaign slogan⁷

Tinubu’s invitation for Trump to kill innocent northerners under the guise of looking for Muslim terrorists committing genocide against Christians has backfired.

When will the clueless olodo resign for intellectual people to secure the country?

What is he waiting for to throw in the towel and stop this mess huh

Maxymilliano:
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him.
According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.

Tinubu spoke at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, monitored by The Nation.

At the lecture, Tinubu after his opening remarks, assigned Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.

Mossad will give intelligence to fish them out. They should stay right there and be playing.

Beside i heard something will happen in January 18.

Israel is planing to free nnamdi kanu from sokoto jail and break the southern part away from Nigeria.

They only test tomahawk milesile rang. Those bomb that didint explored was intentional. They diffuse it.

The launch from gulf of guinea was a successful one.

The north is land locked with Niger and its a difficult terrain with no sea.

Biafra might be free but they will lost freedom to do business with china. South south will be free but oil control will be gone.
