Sovereignty is an illusion. The world belongs to the powerful (military might and technology)

A whole President, yet some agbado miscreants were shouting "sovereignty" up and down. If the US mean you eh, forget. Na just a matter of when.

Modify: For those of you asking if this is right. See, this is not a question of right or wrong. It's all about wielding your power. Personally, I'm shocked at this. The US' status as the overbearing world power has never been in question. But this is wild! But it is what it is. You either dance to the tune of Big Brother, or get "maduro-ed" at night. Trump is not a politician. He's a business man. He no send you and your sovereignty.
because it has not been tested. They have economic and military power so its easy for them to get you in the financial market or on the fighting field. Any country that can stamd up to them will be the hero. They just habe not been tested thats all.

Maduro was captured without any resistance.

They truly sold him out.
Oga continue lieing to yoursellf. e go shcok you. when Trump wants to invade Nigeria. it wont even take up to 10 secs and they will cease Aso rock. It didn't take them up to 48 hours to capture the almighty Saddam Hussein with all his noise and seize the capital city. it didnt take them more than 24 hours to capture the capital of Afghanistan and chase all the Taliban away. but its been over 3 years now, and Putin is still struggling to take over Ukriane what a shame.

Maariv:
The Terrorist government has done it again. People have poor memory. Maumaur Gaddafi was falsely accused and killed , Saddam was accused of nuclear weapon and iraq was invaded after 30years they are yet to show proof of nuclear weapon in Iraq. Syria is gone, Afghanistan too, now its Venezuela and people are cheering the evil ravaging sovereign nations.
Oga you are the poor student of history here. dont ever lump Libya in this equation. so you were among the evil people who support Gaddaffi to use an airstrike on innocent citizens who were just protesting for a change in their country.

They just captured him like a common criminal. Very easy and simple.

CIA must have infiltrated his government. One of his key allies in government sold him out. That's why it was easy for US to capture him so easily.
101 spot on! Also, remember there was a $50 million bounty placed for his capture......smh

It is striking how many people fail to grasp the potentially dire repercussions this moment poses for the world. Trump has, in effect, endorsed Putin’s actions in Ukraine while simultaneously daring China over Taiwan. Compounding this danger is the world’s timid response. Such meekness risks emboldening Trump’s worst instincts, encouraging him to recast both himself and America’s global role—not through the framework of the post–Second World War settlement, but through the lens of historical conquerors: a modern echo of Hitler, or an Aryan Genghis Khan.

Only an intelligent person would understand that Tinubu is a really wise and sagacious man. You don’t deal with an egoistic, eristic and pugnacious individual with ‘gra gra’ and especially when he is obviously more powerful than you. He will disgrace you and the heavens won’t fall. If President Tinubu had listened to the likes of Gumi, Trump would have used that as a pretext and cheap ticket to deal with him and trust me, nothing would happen. Knowing and being able to differentiate between those who are bigger than you and those who are below you is the first sign and trait of a wise person. Gra gra no dey win fight.

This is why Tinubu Political Sagacity is top notch. Donald Trump would have been more forceful with Nigeria if Tinubu listened to the like of Sheik Gumi and some Northerners chest beating US forces will go in body bags.

This is why it is good to at least have a President with a little bit of intelligent, Tinubu would be cooling off in US Jail cell now if he had mistakenly implicated himself that he supported Christian genocide in Nigeria and Nigeria would be experiencing more crisis.

Venezuela military have better assets than Nigeria forces, they have F16 fighter jets and S300 air defense system that Nigeria can only dream of still it only took 2 hours for US Delta Force to captured Maduro.
True, but he is not off the hook yet.. If Northern groups still keep launching attacks he may suffer the same fate as Maduro along with other Northerner leaders

President capturing another president,God knows that I will never support this no matter who's at the receiving end.
…and who do you blame for that? Isn’t it shameful that the country raised armies of weak military men and apparatus over the years despite being the country with the largest oil reserves in the world?
Who do you blame that the richest country in the world (oil) couldn’t even put up a fight when its president was being captured like a common criminal and within couple of hours?
What has Venezuela been doing with its oil? I know you would say they were being constantly sanctioned but weren’t other oil-rich countries like Iran and Russia sanctioned? Is North Korea not sanctioned? In fact Russia is the most sanctioned country in the world but they don’t joke with their military capabilities and territorial integrity.

Stop talking all these nonsense you people dey talk about US only interested in oil of other countries. How much of Libya oil has US taken after the demise of Gadafi. US frowns at two major things, terrorism and drug, any country allowing those two things to foster can never have the support of US, simple.
President Donald Trump says the removal of Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro from power will open the door to the country’s vast oil reserves, a move that has the potential to reshape the global energy market.

“We’re going to have our very large United States oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country,” Trump said during a press conference in Mar-a-Lago.

“They were pumping almost nothing by comparison to what they could have been,” he said.

Follow the news he said the above himself and
So how has Libya fared so far.. undecided

Re: Photo Of Captured Venezuelan President, Maduro by Pacesetter123(m): 8:56pm On Jan 03
In 2022 when I said it here that Ukraine made a very big mistake by disobeying their big brother, Russia.
And that Russia will invade them and annex more and more territories and nothing will happen.
Some emergency sovereignty proponents were here arguing that Ukraine is a sovereign state.Russia is not right to take military action against them.
Ukraine is a sovereign nation and as such, she can join NATO,EU and what have you without the consent of Russia, bla bla bla.
I told them that there is nothing like sovereignty or independent if you are a less powerful country.
The super powers can whip you very seriously into the line if you dare try to act against their wishes and the world will do nothing.
I draw people's attention to what France,USA and UK did in Iraq and libya and nobody cough till today about that and people think Russia will fold her arms and watch how Ukraine will allow NATO to build military base and nuclear sites there at the door post of Russia.
And some of this same Nairalanders were happy that USA,France and Britain of all nations were dishing out sanctions like beans to Russia for doing what every other world powers including they themselves used to doing.
So now that the USA has done it again, who will sanction them?
And where are the sovereignty theory proponents of Nairaland?

Like I used to say and I am still saying it now,if you know you are a small country -economically,technologically or militarily,do not disobey a big brother nation.Else, you will collect wotowoto and nobody will come to your help.
Having said that,I am still in love with D.J.Trump for coming to Nigeria's aid in dealing with the terrorists up north that doesn't want Christians there and other innocent villagers to breathe.
Putin is not also left out in the love.
He is a very powerful leader,he and Trump trying to make the world a better place for all to live in.
