Brendaniel:Yes devaluation is a factor but without devaluation the allocations still increased. In Osun state the LG allocation was seized and there was no issue at all despite that salaries more than doubled. If you did your calculations very well you will find out allocations substantially increased. The governors have more money now for development. However the money is still not enough |

lawani:Adeleke is simply a prudent manager of Osun resources, unlike his APC predecessors who owed salaries when Tinubu had not yet wrecked the value of the Naira. Moreover, why is Tinubu struggling to pay the minimum wage to all federal workers? Is that not why workers are on strike? Why are some other states, including forever APC's Borno state paying below the minimum wage even though they are not providing basic services and utilities to everyone ![]() https://fmino.gov.ng/we-are-not-slaves-protesters-lock-down-federal-secretariat-over-unpaid-wages/ https://thesun.ng/were-disappointed-in-tinubu-federal-workers/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XKBF6fIBAg |

DMCA:When did he resign as president of Nigeria ![]() Who did APC blame for high petrol price before we gave them the chance to implement their better change, which has turned out to be extreme poverty shege and insecurity plus worse corruption? Deltafirstson:>>>> >>>>>> Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC January 19, 2015 The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70. On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price. But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”. It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel. https://www.thecable.ng/petrol-never-cost-n70-per-litre-says-apc/ >>> >>> Buhari’ll reduce petrol to N40/L —David-West |

The allocation to your state government increase significantly since Buhari before subsidy removal. In dollar terms, it actually has not increased much. It's the same way F.G budget has increased astronomically over the past 10 years. You have a brain, and its yours, use it. Your brain does not belong to APC. ki02020: |

Brendaniel:you are right, the states are still struggling to pay salaries ,the states were paying the same minimum wage they were paying under Jonathan, the states were able to fund security outfits like amotekun and the likes too, continue with your scientific calculator. The state has not still been able to credit you monthly for doing nothing so nothing has changed |

budaatum:Buda before you support anything. Do not forget the country you're talking about. The next administration might come in now and tell us otherwise, who knows. That has been the case in many other things over the years. One would say one thing only for later ones to refute it with "evidence"... Remember all the lies about the refineries? No put ya head for these liars. They're unreliable. I'd rather recommend wait and watch and don't forget to try ya best to keep ya head above the turbulent waters of this nation, as it's obvious we ordinary people can do nothing to these people. |

Brendaniel:I don't think you are correct. Osun budget in 2023 was 138 billion. In 2026 it is about 740 or so billion and Osun is not doing any significant igr. Naira has only devalued from 500 to 1500 and the budget should have increased by only 300 percent |

Nigeria is richly blessed with petroleum resources, and it is only right that the people feel the benefit of what God has placed in our land. Affordable petroleum products are not a privilege; they are a necessity for economic survival. When fuel is affordable, transportation becomes easier, food prices stabilize, businesses grow, and the burden on ordinary Nigerians reduces. Leadership must ensure that our resources work for the people, not against them. This is the spirit of the **Poverty Alleviation in Nigeria (PAIN) Movement**—turning national wealth into shared opportunity, not suffering. Our resources must circulate in ways that uplift lives, create jobs, and restore dignity. Nigeria has what it takes; what remains is the political will to put the people first.

lawani:That's because you did not also factor in inflation, let me just give you a simply example, my friend in 2013 bought a brand new 2013 Toyota Camry for 7.2m today in 2025, 70 million cannot buy you the same brand new of the same Toyota Camry... The inflation that has taken place under Tinubu in reality is over 400%, but I know you may want to argue... |

It was that same December that Dangote's fuel was the cheapest, but transporters hike their fares the most. Nigerians are too hostile to one another abeg. |

lawani:That is what I am telling you, I only used that as an example, From Buhari's time check the prices of goods and services, I deal on cars, all the cars we were selling as low as 700k in Buhari's time now go for as much as 3 million naira some even close to 4 million. |

Brendaniel:Oga, are you in this country at all? Do you even know the meaning of deregulation? If you don't know something, you calm down, listen and learn. The downstream is completely deregulated. So marketers and depot operators are free to fix their prices without the government intervention. That's the reason Dangote refinery has been playing ping-pong with the marketers because he refines his products and is able to toy with the importers that have other bills like shipping and logistics to deal with. As it stands, if Dangote refuses to raise his own prices, you will see these same depots bring down their prices in the coming week because this would make the marketers buying from them to switch to Dangote and the depots will start losing business. Besides, it means more crowd for MRS and other outlets marketing Dangote's products. |
