What if he is not the owner of the company? If the company's policy doesn't allowed payment on delivery, you can't force a worker to go against the boss policy.

Just in case you are not aware, Escrow basically entails the buyer sending and locking the money (plus delivery fee, of course) to a reputable member of Nairaland who has been escrowing deals here for years.

So, it is as good as the customer already paying you for the goods. But to ensure that the deal pulls through, you need to share videos of what will be sent to the customer, pointing out the length, width, breadth, model number, etc, and ensure you send exactly that to the customer, because the Escrow reserves the right to void the transaction if you send something else.

I believe you will lose sales if you insist on Pay before delivery. Even Jumia and Konga does Pay on delivery. Reason am

For those who stay far away, they send us money and we find a reliable driver heading towards that direction to deliver the mattress to the customer.

And yes, videos of the exact product the customer requests for; length, breadth and width will be done for verification purposes.

Mattress no be something you buy blind. Person dey insist on full payment upfront, no Pay on Delivery, no escrow, no matter where you dey. That alone na red flag. Sure some folks here are still not recovered from post traumatic experience of being scam and hence might prefer some little precautions.
If you pay and the mattress no be wetin you expect, refund go be serious problem or you ko even see mattress— if e even happen at all. People suggest escrow, seller still say no. Meaning once money leave your hand, na your luck.
Yes, price fit cheap, but saving 10–20% no worth the headache or risk. Better you go open market or showroom, pay small extra and get peace of mind.
