When Iran was shouting ‘do something, do something’, Russia could not talk to Israel, so na America they wan talk to? Believe it or not, Israel will defeat Russian army within 6 months. Both Russia and China are laughing stocks. |

There’s no better ally for a country than USA. They will have your back always. Take Israel and Saudi Arabia for example. If not for the USA, Iran for don show Saudi shege for Middle East. Russia and China are unreliable allies. |

benardtotti:Yes. Maduro made a big mistake. If I were him, I'd have long invited the Russians and the Chinese to both build naval bases in my country. Do you know that if Maduro had hired north Korean assets to guard his palace, Trump wouldn't dare try to abduct him. He also had no air defense systems because he trusted so much in the chavists armed groups. |

Svoboda:LOL. No country on this earth can put their neck on the line for you if USA is on your matter. They’ll just watch from the sidelines. |

Sheuns:The problem with Maduro was that he didn't go deep in signing military cooperation deals with his allies. Most of the engagements he had with them were symbollic because he misread the room. |

Svoboda:Iran has military cooperation with Russia. What did Russia do to the US when it dropped bombs on an Iranian nuclear site? |

Adexgentle005: The US failed to protect its puppets in Africa and the same Russia backed soldiers to take over power. The US puppet presidents of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and so many others were kicked out. Many presidents are even in prison. Is Assad in Prison? Where was the US & France? The thing you're expecting Russia to do in Venezuela is what the whole world was expecting the US to do in Ukraine. Till date Ukraine is still begging for help. If you want to talk about weapons, Russia has sent them to Venezuela like the US sent to Ukraine. But did Venezuela use them?? |

Igirigimercenar:Na una go push America for fire last last. Keep hyping Unclesam, until you push them into a big pit of fire, most of you are very funny. you are underrating China and Russia? even Russia that has been fighting for centuries and winning wars. Do you think if Russia was a weak country, it would still be standing by now? |
| Re: What’s The Point Of Having Russia As An Ally ? by Svoboda(m): 2:51pm On Jan 04 |
Sheuns:You may have to go thru the various articles in the military coop documents. Oh! You expected a full scale war between Russia and the US over bombs that landed on largely empty facilities with minimal damage, when everyone knew Iran had been tipped before hand and that the exercise was largely face saving for the Israelis? My brother, you have to concede that while the world may have three super powers, it only has one bully and you and I know that that doesn't mean the other super powers are less superior. |

What distinguishes the US from Russia and China is the independence of their economy. The Chinese economy is heavily reliant on the US economy (US consumers make up a significant amount of it's customers). The Russian economy isn't strong enough for Russia to stretch forth it's powers in different directions, to uphold its policies. The US has a strong military like the other two and an equally strong economy. |

Your ally can't do everything for you, but I get the frustration regarding Russia. They tried for Assad in Syria though, else it would have been over for him a long time ago. Considering these conflicts, usually you have only Russia backing a country, while the USA is backed by its Western allies putting pressure on that country. Proximity matters too. Venezuela is in South America, relatively close to the USA. Russia does not even have a permanent military base there, unlike Syria. Another thing is MOTIVE. I rank this above everything. Contrary to the endless propaganda by the mainstream media, Russia has no ambition to rule the world, but the USA does. That alone changes everything, including what you are willing to sacrifice. There is no continent you won't find a U.S. military base, and they are the world's largest arms producer and exporter. The USA topples democratic governments, eliminates leaders, creates and fund terrorism, invades and occupies a country to remain dominant in the world. The USA is a force of evil in the world. Most people have no idea. |

Sheuns:America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests. You must not have heard of Kissinger. So long as you are focused on evil, USA will be nearby. |

Adexgentle005:🤣🤣🤣 You Guys joke with the USA too much. IF I haven't traveled across countries, I wouldn't have seen a lot, hence I urge people to travel. When Senator Akpabio was saying he doesn't want America's problem, people called him Coward, meanwhile he was busy protecting his retirement resident and that of his kids🤣🤣 It's like Wike's Family that has the USA Passport attacking the POTUS. Are they mad? 🤣🤣 Almost every politician on this planet, including Tinubu and Maduro all have ties with U.S |

Svoboda:The world has only one super power and that is the USA. Economically, militarily. Most valuable companies in the world, most billionaires in the world are domiciled in the USA. It will take a major war eg World War 3 for any country to take over the US as world power. That’s if the US doesn’t win or end the major war. Those guys are just ahead of everyone else. |
| Re: What’s The Point Of Having Russia As An Ally ? by Svoboda(m): 4:24pm On Jan 04 |
Sheuns:Well, what if the others were behaving and acting rogue like the US? Like China invading and annexing Taiwan and Laos and the Philippines? Russia doing the same with Finland? You think the US can stop them? The difference is just how belligerent and aggressive the US is in pursuing its hegemonic goals. From a historical point of view, the US is a phantom country. |
