lightwind:Make an effort to educate yourself You sound very ignorant and illiterate The economic problem of Venezuela is simple It. Is because of US sanctions Venezuela has the largest oil reserves on earth US companies controlled it for years When Hugo Chavez kicked them out the US started sanctions Their plan was economic hardship would force the people to revokt When that did not work Trump did this That is the summary The same issue they have with Iran Listen to yourself I get one mama You are saying it with pride You will do that till you are 60 |

givedemwotowoto:Venezuelans do see America as the enemy. Maduro was not the one that impoverished them ...it was the USA ...via economic sanctions that made their currency useless. It was a method used to cause civil unrest and overthrow the government. Wasn't NL publishing articles of the huge amount of cash needed to buy a loaf of bread? It was because if this Venezuelans fled by the thousands. Didn't the US do the same in ...was it South Africa? So why would you say Maduro impoverished his people? It was at this time that the US recognized the puppet opposition as the President . Maduro enlightened the citizens and that's how that saga came to an end. Maduro followed in the footsteps of the verrry popular Hugo Chavez .....popular with the ordinary man because he brought positive changes to their lives. Maduro was his protege and took over for him. Over time...he began to move away from the base and looked after himself and close ones. His personal body guards are the ones that were compromised and made it super easy for the US Special forces to move in...capture him ...and fly him out. How many shots did they fire? How many shots were fired at them? But does that give the US the right to do so? |

Afrobasic:Chinedu, you have no idea what you’re wishing for! Nigeria is not Venezuela—Africa is a highly tribal space. I’m not saying Trump couldn’t attempt the same Venezuelan playbook in Nigeria, but the outcome would not be the same. Take this hint: make sure you’re not in any part of Yorubaland if such a Venezuelan-style scenario is ever played out or repeated in Nigeria. The country would never be the same again, and it would be exceptionally tough for people who cannot live on their own ancestral land. Some people are not just wise! |

AqualinaXYZ:Don't mind them, they are all junkies. Their hatred for Trump make everything Trump does bad to them. Everything that is good to them is evil while evil is good in their eyes. They should be praying that Trump does not look at Tinubu side because we go give them as gift. That guy has been there for decades impoverishing the country. Like they are the once that knows their president more than Venezuelans. Very yeye sets of APC supporters. Crying more than the bereaved. |

Blossomfirst:Don't mind them, they are all hypocrites. They support military action in Ukraine Putin but detests same military actions in Venezuela. Maduro is a no brainer when it comes to world politics and diplomacy. How can you be dealing with a world power as if you're dealing with cocaine cartels. You want to bring the Russian/Chinese infested firewood into the neighborhood of the US. He is supposed to be enjoying from the US markets and building up his country gradually forming a strong ally of the US but he wants to practice socialism in the midst of capitalist . So unfortunate, it doesn't work like that . |

Originalsly:Oh I must have read the story wrong. I think they meant to say Venezuelans worldwide are massively protesting the removal of Maduro. Now I see the problem. Venezuela economy was rising above that of the US, so US decided to give them sanctions and remove the former leader so their economy will collapse, and since Maduro came in, he has prospered the citizens even more and America doesn't like it so they decided again to remove him. Their citizens worldwide who left the country to give the world some of the excess money they made in Venezuela are protesting. That sounds about right. Are you happy? |

If you people have been minding your nigeria biz, you probably wouldn't have caught the attention of Israel & USA, but you were lobbying in Washington and on the media for a Palestinian 2 state solution meanwhile you are killing christains and killing biafrans that are equally looking for a 2 state solution. Nigeria will repeal sharia or it will crumble. |

givedemwotowoto:Has nothing to do with economy. All along was about controlling Venezuela's oil. Chavez kicked them out. It's like France and the AES ...they want to get back in there and will always find a reason to topple the government. ...even using Tinubu. Worse too ...is for more than a hundred years...the US controlled that part of the world ...Russia...the Chinese etc were never there ..now they are. Aiden your scope. The very same day didn't Trump declare we'll no owncontrol their oil and sell it to other countries? Guess you either missed that...or it didn't ring a bell. |

Originalsly:I get it. You don’t like Trump and you want Venezuelans to be angry about the capture of Maduro. You wish they had laid down their lives to resist America and died in the thousands so it can be used as propaganda against Trump, you wish the US failed in their mission to capture Maduro and be ridiculed. You know this is also coming to Nigeria and that scares you because of ethnic and/or religious sentiments with the current leadership. I get it. But understand this. Over 80% of Venezuelans were not happy with Maduro. They’re better off aligned with the US. The Chinese influence has left them worse off. Saudi Arabia has less oil, about the same population or more, has strategic partnership with the US, and better off. The US always acts in its interest, it always will, but it won’t govern your country for you, that responsibility belongs to your leaders. All they take is about 50% of your oil to drill and process it, that’s it. You own about 50%. Don’t blame the US for corrupt greedy leaders. You can serve US interests and still develop your economy, both can be done at the same time, and actually, many economies are doing both. This issue of premature “I want to be on my own, leave my country for me, I don’t need you anymore”, it doesn’t work, it has never worked throughout the history of mankind. It’s alien to the world we live in. Back in the day, countries will conquer you and take your resources and make you pay taxes to them, it has always been about conquering, until modern history, when countries like America will help you develop your resources for a stake in it. Unless you have a strong army and weapons to thrive on your own, stay on your lane, develop your economy and stop blaming America. Even if they leave you alone, another country will come for you, and perhaps they won’t be so nice to share those resources with you. This part is important. You didn’t discover a secret. We all know what’s going on, it’s a war between world powers, the US is pushing against Russian and Chinese global expansion. Venezuelans themselves know this. They’re happy. They’re celebrating Maduro’s removal. America’s influence is not the cause of bad leadership in countries like Venezuela and Nigeria. It’s a convenient excuse for it. Countries like Japan, South Korea and Singapore are aligned with the US and are prospering. Call a spade a spade and stop misinforming people around you. |
