Nigeria is practically a fraud as it is right now
It is so nauseating, that the National Assembly would pass a law and someone somewhere enacts his/her own to replace what the National Assembly did. I've never heard of this in any other country of the world. Nigeria is very infamous in scoring first every. We no dey carry last, and las las nothing will happen. no one will be queried, no one will be punished. But just so that my grandchildern will not ask me what I did about it, let the culprit be punished. No matter how highly placed. I AM PROTESTING HERE.

This is how you recognize a dishonest, rogue govt that wants to arm-twist citizens to collect taxes by hoor or crook, legally or illegally

Daily Trust always causing confusion! How does the gazetted 4 versions turns out to be fake?
Are the ones assented to by the president and gazetted by the authority different from the NASS own!
Actually, they are different versions.

I am a firm believer in Bola Tinubu because of his disposition to long term viewpoints and investments, but in this, he got it so so wrong.

The alterations he made were because the tax policy document the National Assembly passed lacked enforcement.

For example,

1. You can find a person guilty on tax related matters but you can't prosecute.

2. You can create strategies as a professional but you need the validation of national assembly to get anything done.

He should have negotiated with the National Assembly for enforcement rather than smuggle it in with the hope that it won't be noticed.

It's a terrible act. Totally condemnable.

I am 100% in support of Tinubu and the Tax law BUT those who were involved in the forgery should be sent to prison ASAP.

If there is truly a future for Nigeria which I doubt everyday, Tinubu should have been impeached by now.

How can you alter a law passed by the national assembly and people are still behaving as if nothing serious happend?

One day, this government will go back to the North and what they will do with power....THE PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH WILL CRY .

Just keep a date!

The opposition is in disarray and struggling tooth and nail gasping for breathe. Expect more lies and desperation as we enter election season. They know the tax reform is a game changer. Only the opposition and their OAPs are in possession of this so called gazetted version. As how na? Imagine satan sleeping while the Saviour saves the world, reason am na.
This has nothing to do with opposition ok, many people raised concern about the tax. I want to ask you a question: why did the federal government yet to implement the tax on Nigerians?
Re: National Assembly Disowns ‘Gazetted’ Tax Laws by naturalflow: 3:36pm On Jan 05

This is horrible reporting. What is "altered gazetted act". The question is, does the gazetted act align with approved NA laws? Shikenah!
First, you said gazetted act doesn't align with house of assembly laws passed. You said we should wait for the approved CTC NA passed law for reconciliation againsy the gazetted act. What sort of confusion is "altered gazetted act"?

I have done over 15 transfer yesterday and today but it's still the old 26/52 Naira charge, i later ask someone in CBN and it was confirmed that the new tax is yet to take effect.

Maybe Fed government has been taxing you differently this year but mine is still the same old charges, thank you.

Obviously, you are proudly ignorant. Did the FG tell you they'd be taxing your bank transfers?

So what has been done?
Nothing?
The post was long as a book but after there's is no assurance that Tinubu is not continuing to implement the fraudulent gazetted version that differs from the laws passed by both chambers of NAss.

What was Gazzetted was altered and not until it was discovered by an opposition House of rep member from Sokoto.

Ayam not understanding o.
Which law was passed by the national assembly?
Which law was signed by the president?
And Which law was gazetted?
Are all three in agreement or are different.

According to my unlearned understanding, if the law passed by the national assembly is different from the law signed by the president, then the law itself is not valid, and cannot be said to be a legally enacted law.

Should not all reconciliations and approvals have been done before the president signed the law?

Presidency claimed that they used the NA approved Law to gazette. A rep said No and brought out the rep's approved law. Everybody said give us the ctc of the consolidated version to reconcile against presidency gazetted act, so we know who is lying. Which one now is "altered gazetted act"?

I'm not ignorant, what i wrote is both income and expenditures, if you have been taxed on any income received since January 1st, please confirm it via proofs. I'm in the FCT so anything happening in Nigeria should start here.

I'm apolitical hence i don't support any political party; I'm not holding brief for the ruling party or the opposition, thank you.
