Many of you are not understanding what is happening to wike, when i saw him in that rally, I felt pity for him, he is just on a mission for survival, about five years ago, wike has political structure in all the states of the federation, he has almost the entire South South in his palm, but now, he has lost everything, he is just limited to a fraction of his own state, he knows that he is finished, he knows that he is dead politically. That is why he said that if fubara wins re election, he will be buried politically, his actions indicates fear not show of strength. As it stands now, wike is a drowning man, Remove the police security commanders in charge of different formation in Rivers state like the C4i, CTU, anti-cultism and SPU because they were all his boys right from government house and Fubara would coast to victory in 2027 election

What most folks don’t understand is the current shenanigans is more about who becomes VP in 2031 and many power blocs in the APC SS/SE (Hope, Akpabio, Umahi etc) would want to gradually cut Wike to size by their recent comments and eventually scheme him out.

Even PBATs recent appointment of Magnus Abe and Kobani is also to increase his direct loyalists in Rivers & reduce Wike’s influence. Of course Wike isn’t stupid, he is starting to see the writing on the wall and would fight tooth and nail to remain relevant beyond 2027, I dare say even as PDP’s VP candidate.

I don’t see PBAT interfering by sacking Wike, that would only inflame the situation. He will allow both sides work for him, after all, the presidential elections are before the gubernatorials and then let them slug it out at the gubernatorial, it wouldn’t matter to him at this point.
Post 2027, Wike will most likely be fully thrown under the bus as PBAT will definitely want to decide who becomes president and VP after him to sustain his legacies and keep EFCC @ bay. I don’t see PBAT selecting a Wike

yes APC will protect him and he will get the Governorship ticket. Wike will be put where he belong.

And face the combined wrath of Wike and Tinubu put together and that would be suffocating. For now, in APC he has the Party protecting him from the steam boiler that Wike fires. When the Presidential election is won (both Wike and Fubara having accomplished that burning the same candle from both ends) Tinubu will tell Fubara to make peace with Wike. In the end Wike will name the Governor of Rivers State and Fubara will go to the Senate to learn how to become a successful politician on his own and in Rivers State. If Tinubu turns on Wike that would mark Tinubu's end politically. Tinubu who cannot win both his adopted State of Lagos and native State of Osun where, Ajibola Basiru, who lost his Senatorial Seat and is now APC National Secretary has scant electoral value.
