it's like you and I did not watch the same game. Can't you see that his teammate refuse to pass the ball to him to score which is why he has to seek for substitution. Even ademola lookman is jealous of him. like ademola lookman wants to score more goals than osimhen, he wants to win the golden boot
Is it the same Lookman that already gave him two assists in just this match or another one?? How many assists has Osimhen given to other strikers, and when did it become a crime for an attacker like Lookman to also attempt at goal as well??

Osimhen is great no doubt, but he needs to understand that he is not Ronaldo that everyone must hustle and pass to to score, Messi assists without looking back and still tops score charts, it is unprofessional to react that way to a teammate that already gave you two assists in a match that the team is already leading 3:0, Lookman sef na striker like him wey need goals to boost his own confidence.

Who stopped him from scoring against Ugandan?

In the Uganda match, all the key players were benched expert him, just to help him.

Lookman is very committed, delivering results and deserves all the accolades. Maybe Osimhen got jealous?

He expected all the accolades to be for him?

Oshimen has every right to yell at his teammates
He's 2 goals shy from all-time records.
This is a match that easily he can get 4+ goals personally.
So why not!

"Pre-assist"

Not 3 assists
Alright. Thanks

Somehow, not used to hearing it from European commentators. He kept mentioning Iwobi as if he was lobbied to promote him. No disrespect to Iwobi, he played well today.
But why was Oliseh not mentioning those who made the ‘assists’ repeatedly ?

If one is listening with a radio, you wouldn’t know Akor made 2 Assists and scored one, while Lookman made assists too.

Pre-Assist noted!

Without his team mates, he is nothing.
If I am the coach, I will take the risk and bench him for the next match.

When there was no Lookman in the Uganda game, how did he perform?

He should work on himself biko

The first sentence of your second paragraph is on point. But Osimhen actually feels more than Ronaldo in this Super Eagle’s team grin

Don't mind the eediot, I wish the coach will grow balls and sit him on the bench going forward .

France 98 , the coach dropped their best players before the tournament started, everyone thought France will perform woefully, the rest as they say is history.
Coach that receives alert from Osimhen 😀

But that should be done! Put him on Bench, if the team is winning, he won’t be brought in. But if at 75 minutes, no chance of winning , he can be substituted in

Akor goal is well deserved. He worked restlessly for it.

Imagine not celebrating with your teammates at the end of the game and walking off to the dressing room.

I don't blame osinmhen , he thinks he is Ronaldo or Messi or evenmbappe and he believes the team must be built around him for the team to win , he believes the team must work to give him passes because he believes he is the only one that can score . What he did was very very unprofessional capable of turning the tide against a team , we should thank God that we were leading comfortably before he exhibited his character

Nigeria showed real quality today! 👏🇳🇬 A clinical 4-0 win with Lookman and Osimhen on fire — that’s how you make a statement in the knockouts! 💪🔥 The Super Eagles are looking more dangerous every match and are definitely one of the favourites now going into the quarters. Let’s keep this run going! 🔵⚽️ #AFCON2025 #SuperEagles

Very good win for the boys, excellent to start the bounce back from that poor WC qualifiers run....
👏.
We probably have one of the most lethal striking force in the AFCON right now but the Coaching crew MUST rein them all in...to understand the assignment is to redeem themselves with winning the AFCON as consolation for throwing the WC qualification away in a very unserious manner.

Chelle will need to manage the ego of players and outburst on and off the pitch ( i have seen Nwabali during the WC qualifiers vs Bassey and last night I watched Osimhen who has serially lost it against his team mates and coaching crew for whatever reasons).
The Quaterfinals upwards will be defined by Team cohesion, resilience in difficult moments, tactical discipline, individual brilliance, players keeping a cool head and not found remostrating against match officials at every infringements ( Osimhen is guilty of this), must not pick up unnecessary yellow cards like whst happened last night when 2 of our key midfielders picked up yellow cards, they should be ready to grind wins against teams and defending clinically enmass ...wecsaw a team pickup a red card in the 25th minutes and rallied back to knock Tunisia out of the competition...
Our boys should just generally avoid those unnecessary on & off the ball behaviors that can cost them a win ....
Government should pay their allowances o...as at when due grin
I wish them the very best !

I have seen the video interview of Lookman after the match. He pretended as if he wasn't aware about the outburst by Osimhen. That's the same attitude he did on the field that made Osimhen to have overreacted. Not just only Lookman, even Akor held ball unnecessarily yesterday while Osimhen has been selfless with his pass.

Though I agree with the anger management but our wingers should also stop that boring attitude of holding ball unnecessarily

What are you saying?

Was it not through assists he scored the 2 goals?
The guy is just arrogant, and nobody goes far with such character. No manager would like to go for him.

What kind of thought process is this. So you mean it was just now at the age of 29 that Okocha finally had the bright idea to talk to to him?

It's obvious he simply has matured as a player. Secondly the tactics are more favourable with three strong attackers in front of him and two strong physical midfielders behind him.
Okay, sir. It's possible though. To digress a bit, those midfielders need to be extra careful as 2 or 3 of them already have yellow cards.

Okay to get angry for not receiving pass by showing frustration with your gestures. Don’t go and confront your team mates in front of the owe world. The guy just kill everyone moral today. It’s like going to a mall and you see 2 brothers fighting each other, they should go home and settle it.

Why not bring in Mikel obi. Our midfield is foot flatted.

We need a good midfielder. Why bench Mikel Obi.

I'm disappointed with our midfield performance
Yes..oo my sister,Coach should bring in Mikel Obi as you said to stabilize the midfield.
I was equally surprised to see Sunday Oliseh in the bench too.He is a good holding midfielder and should be in our starting line up for fvk sake mhen!

osimhen got three goals so far in this tournament and all were assisted by lookman...

Even as arsenal fans complain reach say other players no feed Gyokeres, you can never see Gyokeres throwing his hands at saka or any other team mate...

This osimhen guy complains a lot about everything and small thing, he would make a signal to be subbed...

He got blacklisted at napoli for this same attitude..and also fought some Galatasaray players around october or so.. na this same guy set ring light for a whole national team coach.. omo!!!!

what manner of player is that?

In Sport it's better you are disciplined as an athlete, however arrogance is synonymous with champions; which can be termed healthy confidence, that's the burning desire to win and also the negative arrogance which is the true arrogance as a result of an exaggerated view of ability and insecurity; this often leads to public displeasure and mockery.
He needs help to manage his anger, he can even channel it to something more positive and profiting

I never like that oshimen idiot. I think Napoli saw something and just got rid of him. They are players that creat toxic dressing room and divide in a group.

From that first time he blantatly insult finidi, I knew he was an idiot with pride. Thank God he don de do open Make everyone see . That coach don even de notice am de pull am out play ankor more. Make him get balls self de bench am. Cuz many Nigeria no Sabi critic who get money.

Ankor get better boll sense than him self. For a player with no skill tat rely on others intelligence he is fuccking proud.

This is the problem with many Africans. They always feel so high of themselves when they feel they are on top. Many people here who criticize him will do same if they find themselves up there. We the black Africans are too arrogant

This is the easy parts. We're getting into the hard part now that will test our mettle. Its not yet uhuru.

We have not really met a tough team yet. The closest was Tunisia
All the teams we have played so far in this AFCON tournament are more stronger than the ones we played in the world cup qualifiers except S/A and we were still beaten and pushed out of the world cup qualification by lowly ranked team like Lesotho, Zimbawe,Rwanda, etc.
So,in this nation cup,I don't think it's bcuz we haven't met strong team yet,the teams we played so far are rated higher than Lesotho,Rwanda,Benin and Zimbawe.
But just that our team is just waking up now from sleep.
The shame of losing out in the world cup and at the same time knocked out of AFCON in group stage is what is propelling them to the stage they are now in this tournament.
Not bcuz of the quality of the opponent played so far.
