Every Government needs tax to survive but it should be done with caution so as not to push people into poverty or scare away investors. Cost of house rent in Enugu is too high, Mbah please look into it. I suggest you regulate or ban house agents in the State.. |

Bwanasaraw:That's why Southeast generates the lowest in the country - yet receives more than they contribute. The region then go on to cry marginalization on social media. na only to dey shout money na water on social media, Igbo billion, Igbo village mansions - meanwhile, paying tax to further develop the states infrastructurally is a furlong hope. No good roads, no interconnecting roads even though the region is the smallest in the country - they can't boast of metro service connecting all states or good roads. |

Tabithatim:Blind leaders that always claimed to have higher IQ. To generate high tax in a state, you need to introduce favorable business policies that will allow business to flow and more investors comes in. A policy's of being productive state and invest in research to enable generating law materials for ends production. This way the money circulates instead of going out, it opens avenue for money to comes in and stay by selling ends product to consumers at other states. The money stays because law materials uses in production are generating from your state mostly through agriculture. You need to create easy access to loan for your state indigen that their business situated in Enugwu state, by creating digital and highly secure indigenous id card that can be obtainable only at OBI of every kindred in Enugwu state. That way is impossible for non indigen to have access to it despite how many years you stay there or intermarrying, purpose of this is to avoid collecting loans and disappear. You also make the city a living place to enable people live there in peace and eble to consumer 60% of what the investors produced while 40% shipp outside your state. Create a high patronizing tourist zone, tourism contribute in revenue generating not harassing people at hotels, eatery places and bar and club by security men. How do you expect your tourism department to grow when you as governor keep silent about intimidating of citizens at tourism centers by security men. With easy access to loan and favorable business policies half of target IGR maybe obtained. Then you can now set a Chinese fapio tax method instead of quoting Tax ranges even you the governor doesn't know how such percentage emerged. The government can now makes money by two ways, through load as pro credit and through Tax as fapio. Government should work for people before expecting to reap through Tax. You can't expect someone that goes through hell to get start-up capital to waste it paying tax, he can relocate his business to favorable tax City, but if you work on your citizens, the good policies the citizens enjoy will attract many FDI and NII so far they are not stealing indigenous job. Hoping to generate billions through IGR without working to improve avenue to generate such money is hallucination. America, Europe, china and others countries that are doing well had this policies already working, that's reason people pay Tax as a way of returning to government what the government done for them. The citizens are not interested to jakpa to anywhere because the system is working. But here government want to Tax everything without working anything for the citizens. |

₦870 billion IGR? This target loud sha. I no dey against ambition, but government need explain how dem wan reach am without squeezing ordinary people to death. Enugu no be Lagos or Rivers where companies full everywhere. Before setting big figures, make dem first: • Block revenue leakages • Stop multiple taxation • Grow real businesses and industries • Improve power, roads and security If na only market women, landlords and small business dem go pursue, then this thing go backfire. IGR no be magic. If economy no grow, target go just remain grammar. Let’s hope say this one no be another “set target, fail, then blame civil servants” story. |

If you work and save up say thirty million to build a house you are more likely going to achieve it with say twenty five million than if you approached a bank for thirty million. I tell you that house will not be finished. It is psychological. If states are prepared to organically grow their economies out of the virtues of their people then development will come with a high degree of certainty, perhaps not rocket fast but sure and sustainable. Because the work put into building something out of scratch can always build something else even more efficiently. Governments should learn the economic cycle of investing in their citizens to empower them to develop their states. And this investment is in totality. And I am not talking about just throwing money in the air for all and sundry to collect to do what they wish or asking people to submit proposals and throwing money at them. But the investment guided by an strategic policy of capacity building. You want to do massive road infrastructure for instance. Invest in the people to localise men, material and equipment. So you don't have to pay some foreigner who has no stake in your development, prime resources to give you basics. When you strip down that budget to its bare bones you will discover huge waste on articles that can be created and nurtured within the state for lasting capacity. Look at Cross-River and the various projects wxecut s by the Duke administration. Well intended but with absolutely zero local capacity on all aspects of the projects from concept to execution and this is a major reason why they are all moribund. Ownership of the development process was entirely importers into the state. We need visionary leadership in this country. This generator leaders are, I'm afraid, mentally incapable of developing this country. |

Tax Man of the South East. Since you came into power, how many Employment opportunities have you created for the Youth of Enugu State. The Presidential Hotel and Niger Gas you claimed to have Rebound and Commissioned, Is it Functional. You Tax Wheelbarrow pushers , Sachets Water sellers in order to increase the State Revenue, So that you can get Enough Funds for your 2027 Reelection. What about the water running in every Home in Enugu, before 120 days as you Promised. Close to 3 years, nothing to show. GOVERNMENT OF LIES AND PROPAGANDA. |

Peter Mbah is a business man , he knows how he can exceed the 870B target, don't underestimate any man who made it in Nigeria’s business cycle. It is not all about taxation. Abia budget is 1.1T Enugu budget is 1.62T Imo budget is 1.44T Ebonyi budget is 885B Anambra budget is 757B This is a toasted 5.7T for the east. If the budget is aggressively implemented, the East will witness a growth rate higher than national average, South South is pushing hard with a record 8T. If we get to this stage , the former Eastern region will for the first time in history have a budget bigger than the western region, significantly higher than the North. Growth in the eastern region will be very very aggressive |
