Please I want to buy the ODU today. Which is the best one to buy? They said what they have is the eSIM version, should I get that?

Huawei but if not available, you can get anyone they have. eSIM is not an issue you can easily swap to physical SIM later.

No. It's expensive. I will be willing to buy one or two if the price is right.

I like the device, especially the idea of a portable 5G capable router. I also like the battery size. It will be able to last me a reasonable time.

I had Netgear Nighthawk M2, which I bought around 2021, it was a joy to use. But they killed it the day I did software update. Its wifi stopped working but it works via ethernet.

Tozed Kangwei makes all the ZLT devices.
X30 is even old but it fits our use case here. That's why I showed interest in it too. They later made another one, X35 with less battery capacity but even that one is not currently being produced/marketed.

The ODUs and IDUs are premium devices. There are standalone IDUs like X25 Max 2, which is the newer version of X25 and X25 pro devices, their street credible best sellers.

I would say Huawei or ZTE if you can find them.

If they are not, you can get any one. The esim is no issue so long as it registers and works before you leave their office. You can quietly swap the esim for a physical one.

Don't let them use MTN as your alternate number. So you should register a fresh normal Airtel Sim before going, if you don't already have one.

Is there a way I can bypass this 1tb limit?
I use more than 1tb each month and it's not been funny once the 1tb is exhausted and if I do another sub before the expiring date it will not reflect still the old sub expires

Since you're cool with subscribing, get two ODUs or one ODU and one 'the other way' sim. When one reaches 1TB, subscribe the other one and repeat.

ZLT X30, never mind that it's 5G ready, its main selling point is portability and battery life. At least that's why I would want to buy it, especially since it should work with broadband bundles.

I have also subscribed before my ODU bundle expired once. I thought I would see the expiry date extended but what happened was that it stayed the same until the current one expired. The new sub then showed up with new expiry date.

So Airtel has yet another new model of ODU.

ZTE G5FA, which I would tentatively assume should be a lower variant of G5F. They paired it with the same IDU as the former.

One of my guys who used MTN with the new X17U eSim version had his ODU stop working even with active sub. I took it upon myself to call their CC several times, talked to the supervisors and they said it stopped working because of the alternate number and that the line is suspended.

I tried changing the alt number using the hbb link that was shared here, and just like people complained, we neither received OTP on the MTN nor on the email it was registered with. I told him to take to Airtel office. Perhaps that's what you should do. I haven't heard from him though.

Mine has been working fine. 6th of this month will make it one month so i will just leave it

try register, try forgot password, try login..eventually they will send u otp via email , make sure to check ur spam folder

i was able to change mine really, i cant recall exactly what i did but it was basically what i summarized in my message

has anyone tried receiving sms on the odu?

Exactly what they did mine

Airtel has progressively become worse in the last couple of weeks.

First, speeds came down to less than 20mbs, and then less than 10 at night. Calling them with their promises didn't solve the problem nor made any improvements.

This morning, I was unable to browse. After restarting and the problem continued, I called them just to be told I have no sub.

As how?

My sub is supposed to expire on 9th - Friday, not today. They now said I should wait 24h. Wait 24hrs and suspend my work and everything else I do because you guys wear incompetence as cloths? Na wa o

I for sub the other ODU but that will steal a few days from me.
