OredoPikin2:If you don’t want to pay bank charges plus the applicable vat, withdraw your 25k, enter Uber or drive yourself to the beneficiary’s house and deliver the money directly. If you want to send your bank to help you deliver the money, they will charge you for the service and government will charge vat on the income they receive from the service they rendered to you. It’s that simple. |

Flangelo12:He pays 25 to 45 percent depending on how much he earned for that month. He enjoys: - Free top tier healthcare - Quality education - Clean environment - 24hrs power/gas and clean water supply - Good paying Job that even after paying his taxes, only corrupt politicians can come close to his earning in Nigeria. - His children attends Good schools - He's not afraid of insecurity - e.t.c Tell me, after paying 15 to 45 percent tax in Nigeria, what do you get in return? Start with just basic amenities, forget about speed rail, hospital, research centers, etc. |

OredoPikin2:Maybe it's time she changed her Bank. I've been transferring bigger money since the new year but I've not noticed this tax you guys are talking about. Sending money from conventional Banks has never been free. Before now, , UBA will charge you N53.25 for amount greater than 10k. Add to the fact that the sender will now be the one paying stamp duty. Confusing bank charges for tax is the most ignorant take I've seen so far this year and it's really annoying. Criticizing a government you so much hate should not make you lose your sense of reasoning. |

workchopNG:Free top-tier healthcare in which country? Unlike Nigeria where people mostly pay out of pocket, people pay for health insurance. If that's what you term as free health care, good for you. |

After removal of subsidy, floating and bastardising the Naira that crippled citizens purchasing power, Tinubu comes to tax the citizens further. This is being thoughtless and merciless. |

MrPresident1:Inclusive governance,..? Is this a joke. They have long since covered their bases on all that. Do you think turning the country to a one party state and capturing all institutions of government was just because of 2027.... You will see a new level of governmental impunity, a course of subjugation like you have never seen before. And the citizens will have absolutely zero means of seeking legal or democratic recourse. After this you will understand that it is 'they' versus 'us' and you will have no option but to storm the fortress or die in the bog. Watch as they begin to tighten the screws in the months to come. |

If una get sense close down your Nigerian bank accounts otherwise your money would be stolen. That's when people were stressing over the new tax rules, I knew the rules are meaningless and that Painubu is simply going to steal as much as you allow him to steal. |

Nairaland has become an avenue for promoting fake news and hatred. How can somebody claim to tranfere 100k and only 63k was credited to his account , which means 47k was charge as tax abi? Poeples like that who lied with passion shouldn't be on this platform ok. May God punish those who re trying to cause problem in Nigeria through social media like nairaland and through other platform. |
