his shows that transparency can build trust — but accountability must go further than just showing a balance. It’s good she checked and clarified the figures, but Nigerians deserve to see how the funds are actually being used on the ground receipts, project updates, locations, outcomes, etc. That’s real accountability, not just numbers on a screen. Let’s encourage every NGO (including VDM’s) to do that.

Honestly, checking another person’s NGO account balance and bringing it online is a slippery slope. Today it’s VeryDarkMan, tomorrow it could be any NGO that people don’t like. Accountability is important, yes, but there should be proper channels for that, not social media witch-hunting.

As for Harrison Gwamnishu, dragging him into it feels unnecessary. If you have questions about VDM’s NGO, ask VDM directly or involve relevant authorities. This online “expose” culture is starting to look more like clout chasing than genuine concern.

One thing I’ve noticed on Nairaland, when Nigerians don’t like someone, every move they make suddenly becomes evidence. Let’s be careful before turning accountability into harassment.

If that's the case you should go after every NGO to know how they spend their money. What should be added is more details on projects executed. Costs and all that.

VDM is setting the standard!

He doesnt have to include that on the summary page of finance on the site since there are variables and invariably expenditure. To raise the standard even more, he should do a yearly report of all donations and expenses detailing expenses. As it is now, the guy has shown enough transparency and by down that, he just took it one step further.

No Nigerian politician except for Peter Obi has matched this in the history of this country. Well, Otti is treading that path, let see how it goes
