While Curbasi has been excellent, at 18 years only, it is incredibly difficult job for him to lead the defence for Barcelona at such age. I like that Hansi Flick has identified and spoken openly about the need to sign a CB. An experienced CB at that. Someone who can already start playing and leading that defensive line.

We clearly don’t have any problem with our attacking. We’re literally the team that score the highest number of goals and create the best chances.

We do however, need serious help at the centre back position, as our defending is the biggest weakness in the squad.

We have only one established centre back in Pau Curbasi. Araujo is depressed and mentally unstable 😬. Gerard Martin is a converted Left Back. Kounde hasn’t played CB under Hansi Flick. Not once. Eric Garcia performs better at the DM. Christensen is out injured for 4 months 😩

Why can’t they just provide what the coach wanted? They’ll frustrate this man out of the club. Other clubs strengthened their squad and we’re looking for loan players from Saudi Arabia and not even in the position preferred by the coach.

Cancelo signing makes zero sense to me. Maybe only for squad depth but it adds nothing new to us.

I don’t like this signing. Yes we need depth but we need to address our defensive issues. João Cancelo is not going to improve the team defensively.

We can't get a CB anymore until someone leaves. It is Christensen's salary limit they've just used for cancelo. Kounde will go back to CB in some matches

If Kounde still has that technique, awareness and solidity expected of a CB. Then, Cancelo's loan Is a very good tactical option to help squad depth.
