Osimhen is an irresponsible player and he is not fit to play in the Super Eagles. Watching the video several times showed how disgusting Osinhen's behaviour towards his own team mate was. It took two of Mozambique's players to prevent Osimhen from assaulting his own team mate. The captain of the supper Eagles even tried to hold back Osimhen, he ignored his captain and snatched his hand away from him Osimhen disgraced his country, his coach, his captain his team mates with that his silly actions |

Be that as it may btw them, osimehn must still apologise to Nigeria and the national team for attempt desertion of duty and national interest. Osimehn must be very stupid not for getting pissed at his fellow man but for issuing outburst against the nation that he's heading to turkey and all. Osimehn supposed to be either arrested and detained, then released and sent away to that turkey, time to end nonsense. Who is he self, bigger than Nigeria?, Dem never tell am about kanu or okocha who were there nd cool before him, if na him be George weah nko wey win ballon d'or, he for step on people head. Irresponsibility |

TemplarLandry:I knew such press release will be released soon. Whether resolved or not, it is the duty of NFF to ensure such news die off ahead of other crucial game in the tournament Meanwhile, some strikers will be praying for Osihmen to leave, let them see at least 75 minutes play ![]() |

In Defense of Osimhen: A Leader’s Rage and a Nation’s Selective Memory Many fans felt a deep sense of frustration during the match against Tanzania. Nigeria held a comfortable two‑goal lead, only to lose concentration in the closing stages—echoing the same pattern we saw against Tunisia and even in several World Cup qualifying games. So Victor Osimhen’s reaction wasn’t coming from nowhere. He wasn’t lashing out; he was calling out a worrying trend: a drop in urgency, a creeping casualness, and a willingness to let opponents back into games that should have been sealed. Leaders don’t always whisper. Sometimes they have to raise their voices, shake the room, and remind their teammates that wearing the green and white demands focus from the first whistle to the last. That’s what Victor was doing—protecting the team, not dividing it. So please, let Osimhen be. Where were the critics when he was subbed off in those World Cup qualifiers and the team immediately lost rhythm, missed clear chances, and allowed the game to slip away? Selective outrage helps no one. Comments that tear down our best players only weaken the morale of the entire squad. The truth is simple and undeniable: without Osimhen, Nigeria is not the same team. We all know this. Football history is full of fiery leaders. The late Diego Maradona had moments far more explosive, yet Argentines embraced him—they didn’t drag him through the mud. Remember Zidane’s famous outburst on the world stage? His people still honored him. These legends were allowed to be human, passionate, imperfect, and still loved. Why should Osimhen be treated differently? Osimhen is our heartbeat, our spark, our King of goals. Take it or leave it. Stop manufacturing problems where none exist. Support your own. [img][/img]We stand with you, Victor Osimhen. Long live the King of Goals. (KoG) - Olanre Francis (mypalaver.net)

Osimhen must be made to understand that he’s not bigger than the SE. He should also be made to understand that he is free to leave if he likes |

Victor Osimhen remains an elite striker with proven quality, but moments like this highlight areas beyond footballing ability that still require refinement. A visible altercation with a teammate such as Ademola Lookman, coupled with clear displays of frustration on the pitch, is not the standard expected from a player of his stature. Requesting to be substituted in the heat of such a moment inevitably raises questions around emotional control and leadership maturity. In contrast, Lookman’s calm and measured response reflected professionalism and composure under pressure, qualities that are essential within a cohesive team environment. It is also encouraging to see the squad continuing to perform well collectively, with multiple players contributing offensively. Adams Akor, in particular, has shown that he possesses the quality and confidence to step in effectively when called upon. For Osimhen, the next step in his evolution is not about talent, which is unquestionable, but about temperament. True leadership at the highest level is defined by discipline, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain focused in difficult moments. These are the attributes that ultimately elevate great players into complete leaders. 🤞🤞 |
