A hilarious video making the rounds online has sparked massive reactions after some beggars surprisingly refused to collect a large bundle of ₦1,000 notes from a man.

In the video, a man was seen counting several ₦1,000 naira notes and attempting to hand them over to two blind men through the young boys leading them. Shockingly, the boys repeatedly and firmly refused to accept the money despite the man’s several attempts.
Moments later, the man brought out a ₦200 note and stretched it toward one of the boys — which he happily collected with a wide smile.

The video has since attracted mixed reactions online. While some viewers believe the boys were scared the money might be ritual-related, others argue that it simply reflects a mindset shaped by poverty — being used to collecting small amounts in low denominations and feeling uncomfortable with unusually large sums.

The funny yet thought-provoking clip has left many Nigerians talking.

Watch the video and share your thoughts.

Summary:

Hilarious moment as beggars refuse a bundle of ₦1,000 notes!
A man tried giving two blind men a large bundle of ₦1,000 notes through their guides, but the boys refused multiple times. When offered a ₦200 note, they accepted it happily. Viewers are split — some suspect fear of ritual money, others say it shows how unusual large sums feel to those used to small amounts. The clip has sparked laughter and debate online.

It may not be poverty related.
Maybe they have never seen a 1000 note before and think it's not a Nigerian legal tender.

Some of the most powerful spiritualists in India are beggars. They beg because they meditate almost 24 hours so they can’t work for money.

Just google ‘Sadhu holy men begging’. Many of them have devotees who pass by regularly to drop food, money and other necessities.

So e don reach where beggars are rejecting money.what does that say to those giving lazy ass individuals money.aside the fact that they're lazy many of you are giving diabolical and wicked people disguised as beggars money and later you will be asking why you're working so hard and you have nothing to show for it

I don't even understand this stupid idea of giving beggars money. You that hustled from January to December and you're back to work hustling again and someone is somewhere sitting on the floor, somewhere in the streets waiting for you to hustle and bring him free money while you hustle and go through pain to make money. A lot of you guys are pervasively stupid and you don't realise and that's why politicians, Pastorpreneurs and imams sell you superstitious bs and lies
