1. Matthew 28:7, 10 (Jesus instructs the women to tell the disciples to meet him in Galilee) Context: After Jesus's resurrection, an angel appears to the women at the tomb. Realted Verses: Matthew 28:7 (ESV): "Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you." Matthew 28:10 (ESV): "Then Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.'" Note: Jesus instructs the women to inform the disciples to meet him in Galilee, where he will appear to them. 2. Luke 24:36-43 (Jesus appears to the disciples in Jerusalem on the same day) Context: On the day of resurrection, Jesus appears to the disciples in Jerusalem. Realted Verses: Luke 24:36-39 (ESV): "As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, 'Peace to you!' But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them, 'Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.'" Luke 24:49 (ESV): "And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." Note: Jesus appears to the disciples in Jerusalem, invites them to touch him, and instructs them to stay in the city (Jerusalem) until they receive the Holy Spirit. 3. Acts 1:3-4, 12-14 (Disciples wait in Jerusalem for 40 days) Context: After the resurrection, Jesus appears to the disciples over 40 days and instructs them to stay in Jerusalem. Related Verses: Acts 1:3 (ESV): "He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God." Acts 1:4 (ESV): "And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, 'you heard from me.'" Acts 1:12-14 (ESV): "Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers." Note: The disciples remain in Jerusalem for 40 days after the resurrection, awaiting the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Conclusion: Both Incidences Cannot Be True Simultaneously **The accounts in Matthew and Luke/Acts present mutually exclusive instructions and locations for the disciples' post-resurrection meetings with Jesus. **Matthew's narrative requires the disciples to leave Jerusalem immediately for Galilee. **Luke and Acts require the disciples to remain in Jerusalem for 40 days. **Therefore, both accounts cannot be literally true at the same time if taken as strict historical chronology. |

AntiChristian:Your evil spirit that moves you to anti Christism has started moving you again. (Abeg, send message make the beast and the false prophet show make this world for end sharp sharp) Only a Muslim cannot see the difference between "meet me" and "wait for The Holy Spirit". |

AntiChristian:According to the Gospels, Jesus Christ had at least 72 followers before he went to his death. ![]() 8 So the women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were also very happy. They ran to tell his followers what happened. The account in Matthew focuses on 11 of his followers, not on all of them, needing to meet up with him at a mountain in Galilee.🤔 16 The eleven followers went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go.Of note is the fact that the account does not indicate that it was on the same day of Jesus Christ's resurrection that they met up with him on the mount in question. ![]() 2. Luke's account of events records Jesus Christ leading a group of other followers out of Jerusalem, towards the location where His ascension happened. 50 Jesus led his followers out of Jerusalem almost to Bethany. He raised his hands and blessed his followers. Also of note is the fact that neither did Luke suggest that the trip made by Jesus Christ of Israel and His followers from Jerusalem to Bethany took place on the same day that he was raised from the dead. ![]() The only same-day connection here seems to be Jesus Christ giving instructions to the women to go tell his disciples to meet up with him in Galilee, and his running into the 2 followers on the way to the town called Emmaus.🥱🥱 |

The instruction was not that they never walk out of Jerusalem from the point when it was given to them. We know this because Jesus Christ of Israel, the one who gave them the instructions, led them out of Jerusalem towards Bethany himself. ![]() 45 Then Jesus helped the followers understand these Scriptures about him.The mission was clearly that they start the work after he was gone from Jerusalem... and he remained in Jerusalem with them for a period before he eventually went out of Jerusalem with them to the point of ascension. 🥱🥱🥱 AntiChristian:Given the actual content of the writings in the books of Matthew and Luke, this conclusion of yours is flawed. It is based on unfounded assumptions made by you. ![]() |

AntiChristian:Problem is that the mention of the 40 days is of the period after He was raised from the dead, insinuating the period before his eventual ascension. 🥱🥱 1. The first book I wrote was about everything Jesus did and taught from the beginningThe above passage does not suggest that they waited 40 days in Jerusalem after Jesus Christ of Israel ascended. Rather, it suggests that Jesus Christ of Israel stayed around for about 40 days before he eventually ascended into the heavens. ![]() |

Kobojunkieee:Junkie, the topic is Matthew vs Luke....? Luke wrote Acts and Luke. So you should get the gist! I shouldn't be doing the thinking for you! |
| Re: Matthew Vs Luke: Who Is Correct? Where Are They To Meet Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 5:38am On Jan 08 |
AntiChristian:You brought in Acts, and I made certain to address the topic as well. And as you clearly see, there is no conflict between what was reported in Matthew and in Luke, not even that collated in Acts. 🥱 |

Kobojunkie:You didn't for once relate Matthew with what Luke wrote. Where is Galilee in Luke/Acts? |
| Re: Matthew Vs Luke: Who Is Correct? Where Are They To Meet Jesus? by AntiChristian(op): 5:40am On Jan 08 |
Kobojunkie:When the gospels mentions disciples it is usually restricted to the twelve except otherwise stated. |
| Re: Matthew Vs Luke: Who Is Correct? Where Are They To Meet Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 5:41am On Jan 08 |
AntiChristian:Why do you need Galilee mentioned in Luke/Acts for you to see that both write-ups are not in any way disconnected as you pretend? 🥱🥱 |
| Re: Matthew Vs Luke: Who Is Correct? Where Are They To Meet Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 5:46am On Jan 08 |
AntiChristian:That is a private delusion of yours and not according to the facts detailed in the books, which instead made clear that there were at least 72 disciples that Jesus Christ of Israel had before his death. 🥱🥱🥱 17 When the 72 followers came back from their trip, they were very happy. They said, “Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we used your name!” - Luke 10 vs 17 |

Dtruthspeaker:O! So Matthew wrote "meet me" but didn't see the "holy spirit" part. Luke didn't see the "meet me" but only the "holy spirit"! I thought the holy spirit was inspiring people to write the Bible? Or were they just writing, each on his own? |
