Daniel Bwala said that once they start supporting Tinubu, the brain stops working.

Reno Omokri just proved Daniel Bwala right

53.7% - 41.4% is what? See how Reno Omokri wrote 29.7%.

Guys please know that a lot of more intelligent people are reading your comments on nairaland and check yourself well before using hatred to do arithmetic. Well meaning Nigerians knows well that Obi is highly corrupt, as a trader, as a politician and as a Bank chairman. He knows how to hide and look for sympathy when he said the state should not pay him gratuity knowing fully well that he has paid himself through the Bank investment.

Till today, Obi still believe in keeping money in the bank than using it for projects that will benefit people. He is not qualify as a leader in all ramifications, reason he was rejected at the 2023 poll. He will still be rejected in 2027.

Reno is a mad man. How will will build schools while the ones you have are all dilapidated. He rennovated all the schools in anambra. Give all the secondary school two buses. It's a story of coastal highway, when the major roads are too bad

Reno Omokri is lying machine for Tinubu

Reno Omokri challenged anyone to debunk his statement that poverty level doubled in Anambra during Peter Obi's tenure as Governor of Anambra state. He offered a prize of Naira equivalent of 10,000 dollars.

A twitter user has debunked the claim by Reno Omokri and Reno has not responded since 2024.

Now notice how Reno Omokri didn't mention poverty level doubled this time around. He is now saying it was a 29.7% increase.

Please how is 53.7%- 41.4 %= 29.7%?

Reno Omokri can't even do simple maths.

Tinubu was governor from 1999-2007.
From the NBS report of 2003-04 when Tinubu was still governor, poverty rate in Lagos was 69.4%.

Tinubu gave Lagos a poverty rate of 69.4%. No wonder he's replicating same on national level
Cr@ze dey your head? Them say make your saviour prove them wrong by going to court. Why dont you just clear him by asking him to go to court

I didn't read Obi misrule, I witnessed it firsthand while living in Anambra. Awka the capital of Anambra was like a village compared to where I come from, government present were scarce except for the few legacy bequeathed by Ngige administration.

Obi couldn't even pay the state stipends to the corpers who serve in his state, there are no single impact of ecological fund received by Obi administration as entire state was engulfed in environmental crises. Crime was rife and communal clashes were at its peak, drug business escalated and splitted beyond the state.

A lot of Anambra people flee the state into neighboring state and as far as SWstates, SA and Asian countries.

You can show us Obi legacy projects, his policies and his records.
Now I know u are paid internet stroll.. all u said is exactly the opposite of what happened...
When I start sushi g u facts in that ur same awka, u will sure look for another excuse..

If u dare me.. reply " bring it on" ND please u must reply each fact I present to u

In governance, your performance was poor, in corruption, you top table, someone who cannot manage small Anambra want to manage Nigeria
The question most of you refused to answer is, how can Obi pulled over 90 percent votes in last presidential election in Anambra state after running the state down.

And the Lagos citizens where Tinubu did all the wonders also preferred Obi than Tinubu?

It's either you are telling lies or you people are calling the adults in Lagos and Anambra states who voted fools.

is it legally or morally right for a sitting governor to deposit his states money in his a bank where he was a chairman of the board?
LEGALLY — is it allowed?

In Nigeria: generally NO, unless extreme safeguards existed (and even then it’s shaky).

Key points:

1. Conflict of Interest laws

Under the 1999 Constitution (5th Schedule, Code of Conduct for Public Officers):

A public officer must not place himself in a position where personal interest conflicts with official duties.

A governor directing state funds to a bank where he was Chairman of the Board is a textbook conflict — even if he resigned before taking office.

The test isn’t just “are you still chairman?”
It’s “can you benefit directly or indirectly?”

And with banks:

Shareholding

Influence

Insider access

Legacy loyalty

…all count.

2. Public Procurement & Treasury principles

Government funds are expected to be:

Deposited transparently

Spread across qualified banks

Allocated using objective criteria (liquidity, safety, rates, risk)

Routing funds to “my former bank” without an open, competitive process?
That’s legally dangerous territory.

3. Anti-corruption precedent

Even where no money is stolen:

Perceived conflict alone can violate ethics rules

Courts and tribunals don’t need proof of cash entering your pocket — undue advantage is enough

So legally:
👉 It’s at best reckless, at worst unlawful, depending on facts like ownership, influence, and approval process.

MORALLY — is it right?

Absolutely not. Zero debate.

Here’s why:

You don’t get to be governor and still play banker in the shadows.

Even if the bank offered the “best rates,” the optics alone are rotten.

Public trust dies when leaders blur public money and private interests.

This is Governance 101:

If you have to explain why it’s okay, it probably isn’t.

Moral leadership means:

Avoiding temptation

Avoiding suspicion

Avoiding “but technically…” arguments

This fails all three.

THE GLOBAL STANDARD (important)

In well-run systems:

Leaders divest

Place assets in blind trusts

Recuse themselves from any decision touching former businesses

In the US or UK, this scenario would:

Trigger investigations

Dominate headlines

Possibly end a career

Nigeria shouldn’t have a lower bar just because “everyone does it”.

THE NUANCED TRUTH (no propaganda)

Two things can be true at once:

A governor may not personally steal money

Yet still act unethically and irresponsibly

Conflict of interest doesn’t require theft.
It requires compromised judgment.

FINAL VERDICT (tell-it-like-it-is)

Legally: very risky, possibly unlawful depending on facts

Morally: indefensible

Governance-wise: sloppy at best, arrogant at worst

If someone claims this is fine, they’re not defending good governance — they’re defending their guy.

PO should defend himself with facts if truly he is clean, he can sue Reno for defamation.
Just stop this careless defense of politicians.

As per the mathematics, Reno was right.

New value - Old value = Increased value

53.7 - 41.4 =12.3

Calculate the % increase = increase value / old value x 100%

12.3/41.4 x 100% =0.297

The % increase is approximately 29.7%.

I expect Obidients to come up with facts and prove Reno wrong. Let them show that the. account number presented by Reno as Obi's fraud bank account is fake.

They should tell us Obi didn't invest state money in the bank to yield profit and show how Obi build Schools and hospitals better than other states in the SE.

That's how you convince people and not the intimidation, abuse and insult they throw on SM.
I pity people like this who still take this O'mockery guy for his words. Someone who shouted "factcheck me...Tinubu is a known drug lord and not fit to be President" Dishing out facts like he is doing now and asked Tinubu to sue him if he was wrong. Someone who swore on his life that he'd nevet work for Tinubu and reeled out all Tinubu sins - forgery, drug lord, impersonation, serial liar, questionable identity, corruption, etc. Now that he has been bribed to do this, he is going after Peter Obi that he once praised as the best candidate unmatched by any from the south-pre 2023 election. The same Obi he praised for not stealing money as Governor, stating thats why Ben Bruce and himself helped package Obi as Atiku's running mate. The same Obi he praised as "will be a fabulous President, the best Nigeria will ever have" and "over performing as Governor". A man has been calling him(O'mockery) a two-faced character and he has never responded for once. The man also asked him to collect Tinubu's urine sample now that he is close enough to do it, no response. People now beleive him because of their hatred for Peter Obi. I don't vote for any Politician in Nigeria because I haven't seen any to support, but beleiving someone like this, to me, is making serious error in judgement. Nigerians need to wake up.

Please who was the twitter user, have you got a handle that we could use to verify?

Hoe can you measure the fact that poverty level doubled, are you sure you are not confusing the money he offered for proof that Peter Obi built schools from scratch?

Hopefully you will clarify in your next post.

It's a shame you spelt it out for them so clearly and obviously, I was enjoying Obidients once more ridiculing themselves over simple maths that I learnt in primary school.

Please next time, allowed us enjoy things a bit more even though having said that it wouldn't surprise me at all if some still argued despite your post. That is what we are coping with when it comes to Obidients.

You guys are funny just like Reno Omokri. Corruption is diversion of public money for personal use. But you people and Reno Omokri think corruption and financial recklessness is all about saving government money in a Bank in Nigeria?

I wonder if you people understand that if Peter Obi had wanted, he could have diverted the money to a Swiz Bank account, and you guys wouldn't be talking about any money today
