Tinubu Wasted N300 Billion That Could Build Hospitals On Private Jet - Peter Obi by NaijaRoyalty(op):
Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has condemned President Bola Tinubu’s administration for spending ₦300 billion on an additional presidential jet rather than investing it in 4,000 primary healthcare centres.

Mr Obi also lamented that Mr Tinubu’s government spent ₦39 billion refurbishing the National Conference Centre in Abuja and ₦21 billion rebuilding the vice-president’s residence, rather than purchasing standard ambulances, which cost about ₦150 million each.

The former Anambra governor, in a post on X, narrated details of his meeting with a nursing school graduate on an Air Peace flight from Imo to Lagos.

Mr Obi noted that the lady said something that struck him deeply.

“I now understand what happened to Boxer Joshua. This is why there was no ambulance to rush him to a nearby hospital,” Mr Obi quoted her as saying, while noting that she wondered aloud whether it was simply because the country is poor.

The politician, however, replied that he was in pain and encouraged her not to lose hope, noting that the country is not poor but is poorly governed.

“A standard ambulance costs about ₦150 million ($100,000). Nigeria spent ₦39 billion refurbishing the National Conference Centre in Abuja and ₦21 billion rebuilding the vice-president’s residence. Those two projects alone, ₦60 billion, could have provided about 400 brand-new ambulances, roughly 11 per state, including the FCT. Had 11 functional ambulances existed in Ogun State, one might have been available for Joshua.

“Building a primary healthcare centre in a community costs about ₦75 million. Yet we spent about ₦300 billion ($200 million) on an additional presidential jet, money that could have built over 4,000 primary healthcare centres, about 110 per state. The only visible value the jet adds is the ability of the President to occasionally disappear without the public knowing where he is, as is the case now,” Mr Obi explained.

Tinubu Lagos is the most dirtiest and smelly cities in Nigeria

Go to Lagos today and you will see refuse littered everywhere on the streets and roads .

If you've not been to Lagos before, you will think it's a clean state. The state is home to refuse packed in nylon and rice bags and littered all over the states and federal roads .

This is the Lagos that tinubu claimed that he built.

Wetin concern Tinubu with hospital? If he's sick he runs to France for treatment his Agbado supporters can take Agbo when they fall ill after all he has provided subsidized kidney dialysis for them in case Agbo damages one kidney.

This also applies to all the state governors who are actually supposed to provide primary health centres

Though his criticism is good, how many of such did he build or buy in Anambra?

This NONSENSE only works on people who have NEVER lived in Lagos.

Lagos is dirty, yes.
But so is MAJORITY of states in Nigeria.

Yet NO OTHER state in Nigeria has HALF the development that Lagos has, including the FCT.

Lagos is the most PROSPEROUS state in Nigeria.
Lagos is the most POPULOUS state in Nigeria.

The BEST hospitals in Nigeria are in Lagos.
Lagos state also has the MOST hospitals in Nigeria.

Lagos has the BEST Service Industry in Nigeria today.
No other state in Nigeria even comes close.

There are services you'll get in Lagos that do NOT even exist in other states.

Power Supply in Lagos is also FAR AHEAD of many other states in Nigeria.

Plus, the ECONOMY in Lagos is LIGHT-YEARS ahead of any other state in Nigeria.

In fact, Lagos's economy is LARGER than that of some African COUNTRIES.

There are JOBS in Lagos with job descriptions you DIDN'T know existed anywhere in Nigeria.

FOOLS need to stop sh1tting on Lagos.
The REALITY is that MOST people who migrate to Lagos NEVER leave.
This is backed by STATS.

People go to Lagos.
And LIVE AND DIE there.
They only go back to their own states to get BURIED.

Lagos is like COCAINE.
It's ADDICTIVE as fork and only an INTERVENTION can tear you away from it.

You can sh1t on Tinubu.
But DON'T sh1t on Lagos.

Jets and luxury buildings for politicians get Billions of Naira, but health centre and ambulances for the poor receive Zero Naira. Peter Obi is right, a country that can afford comfort for leaders can afford healtcare for its people. Nigeria's problem is not that we are poor, the problem is that we are poorly governed.

This is very apt and clear.

Even part of the so called 300billion must have gone into private pockets via stealing.

However, see the way they are wasting the country resources and yet the people are suffering terribly.

What a nation!
Now that Anthony Joshua has tested the part of the country even with the so called IGR. No ambulance.

The reason why many people are poor is because the nation is poorly and shamelessly governed.

In the last 12years of this APC administration, the nation has been bleeding badly and terribly. They have widen the poverty gap so bad that even those who supported them have all turned to gambling and other vices for survival.

Every time Tinubu get a flu he run abroad for medical assistance. Where are the high-standard hospital constructions?. Instead the Nigerian government's official strategy should be to move toward world-class healthcare, not traveling abroad for medical treatments
