450k is a decent income for a young guy starting life. Just allocate like 200k for rent and 200k for other expenses. Then save like 50k.

At least you are far above the minimum wage. US$10/day amounts to US$300/month if you work on weekends. That is over N400,000 per month. You can survive, but might not live very well depending on where you live in Nigeria.

Hello Nairalanders,

Please, I’ll keep this brief and straight to the point.

I need honest opinions and practical advice.
Can someone realistically survive in Nigeria on a daily income of $10?. I work from home.

If no, please explain why.

If yes, I’d appreciate a clear strategy—how to manageo it, possible business ideas, and how one could grow beyond that income level.

For context, I currently earn $10 daily online from my blog, and on some days $13.

If this income is not sustainable in the long run, I genuinely want to know so I can plan better and make informed decisions.

Constructive advice only, please.

Aren't you surviving on the $10/day? ... so what's the point asking us? If we can survive on $10/day is a different matter that will depend mainly on our location and obligations. Whatever remote job you're doing it seems that's the limit ...$10 and you're parking there. For you or your wife to bring more income ... why can't you start from scratch? There are soo many things that can be kicked off with affordable capital ...capital you already have. It is for you to look around you to see where you provide a service or fulfill a demand. Roadside selling?...or that may clash with family pride? Look around you ...regardless of where you are...there are always avenues to make some money.

Yes but as a very poor man.
You will live in a slump, shop in the rural market and drive a 2003 Toyota Corolla.

Your wife will leave you after 6 months
Some of u write rubbish here. How many Nigerians legitimately earn #400k monthly?I reside in Benin city and i know u can get a very decent 3 bedroom monthly accommodation for 500k in at least 90% of locations in Benin city.

Please,we know our economy is not doing well but let's not exaggerate things.

You alone, yes but with family No.

I spend an average of 20k daily and I don't have my basic needs yet. I need to earn at least 100k daily to live a normal life in the current Nigeria.

Oga in my first post I said he can live in rural areas for that amount.
Benin City is not Abuja or lagos. Benin city is among the rural areas I mentioned.
You can indeed get a very decent 3-bedroom for around ₦500k yearly in many rural areas.
You'll not even get a selfcon in the city of Abuja for that 500k.

I will kindly advise you to upscale your earnings, since you got knowledge around online earnings, CPA Marketing would blow your earnings up. Believe me, you can be making nothing less than $500 weekly as a CPA marketer, no technical skills involved...

Just get into a reputable CPA network
Get a locker
Get a page created, and put in your lockers.
Run cheap YouTube shots ads
Sit and watch dollars rolling in.. it's simple.

CPA means cost per actions. Meaning you get a pay base on what action is done. On your offer link. Be it email, zip code, phone numbers, or form filling.
Please, can you teach me how to start this up

You forget to consider generator fuel money anyone that works for home run generator more frequently as power is required to work from home
ibechris:
That is roughly 450k per month.

To start with,u need to first open to ur wife and tell her how much u earn and give her all the necessary clues.

50k multiply by 5= # 250k that is,if u work from home.

The remaining balance of about 200k can then be saved,so as to save u in the future.

You can never survived on $10 per day
.. that is 15k per day and.

450 k per month... government workers minimum wage is 70k per month in which they are surviving with it.
So 450k is alright if does not leave a luxurious life style
Re: Can I Survive In Nigeria If I Make $10 Daily - My Wife Included by Tammy2705: 1:28pm On Jan 08
okay, with the present rate of exchange at N1500=$1 that is about 15k, so 15 * 30=450,000, a month; so with this you can survive.
