Honestly I don't know if Wike wants the president to lay his life for him before he is satisfied! Everytime he keep saying he delivered Rivers to president & I keep wondering is appointing him as a minister not enough compensation? Coupled with the special privilege the president accord him. The man is making the president lose respect with his attitude. I have never seen someone with so much arrogance!

Those assembly guys are sworn boys of Wike, if he succeed the impeachment plot, he should make sure they don't return in 2027, that's all he can do, and I'm sure the State and national APC will make sure those assembly boys don't return.

The question to ask is does he have the capacity to make them not to succeed the next election?

Is he ready to spend Rivers State funds on other capacity capable individuals in thr State who can contend just same way it was spent on him and State Assembly members by his predecessor to ensure that win the election that brought them in or is he forming to be saint?

What Wike is doing now is to push Fubara out, he understands that the more he stays in office, having access to state funds, he's bound to build structures within and outside Rivers State.
With these structures and support in APC NWC, his second tenure will be assured.

If he stays in office till APC Guber Primary, he will work with the NWC of APC to cliche the ticket and that marks the end of Wike.

I'm sure Wike is now richer than River State.

From all he looted as River State governor and still looting as FCT governor, he should be able to assert his authority by sponsoring another candidate from another party to dislodge fubara.

Why he's heating up the polity unnecessarily is what I don't understand.

Martins Amaewhule, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, has warned that lawmakers are ready to resign if Governor Siminalayi Fubara is not removed from office, describing the governor as a threat to democracy.
Amaewhule made the statement on Thursday, insisting that the problem in Rivers State is not between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Fubara, but between the governor and the constitution itself.
Addressing the Assembly in a fiery speech, the Speaker said it would be better for lawmakers to step down than allow Fubara to defraud the people of Rivers State.
His remarks come shortly after the Rivers State House of Assembly formally commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Oduh, following allegations of gross constitutional violations. The process was initiated on Thursday during a plenary session, with 26 lawmakers endorsing the impeachment notice.

He should speak for himself alone. He should say, I will resign if Fubara is not impeached.

This APC appears to be acting more matured than PDP in this Rivers state matter o. This was exactly what PDP failed to do for Fubara.

This might end Wike's political career if care is not taken because he should remember that Fubara is now in APC oh.
If Wike add Tinubu to the list of his enemies, even if he joins the opposition it won't work for him at all. No President could bear his eccentricities the way Tinubu is doing. The VP openly told him two days ago that Fubara is the only recognized APC leader in Rivers State. Right now with 30 Governors plus Adeleke and Soludo, (32 in total), Tinubu doesn't need Rivers vote to win the next election. Wike should be very careful.

You can't blame the governor because these house of assembly members are just zombies. Trying to reason with them is pointless because they have no say of their own. Wike was scheduled to visit the speaker before they organized this kangaro impeachment meeting. So u can see where all these is coming from. These guys were supposed to be on holidays but are now holding emergency meetings immediately Wike visited.

Na patience Jonathan put am for governor, yet he threw Patience & Jonathan under the bus. Those ones never interfered in Rivers State government affairs. Why is he finding it hard to let this guy go despite joining APC? Too much of everything is bad!

One would have expected this man to have learnt one or two things from his last ordeal but unfortunately he never did. His detractors pushing him to continue the fight with his benefactor are at it again cheering him on.

In the first place how would you have about 30 subordinates and you find it difficult working with them and buy their loyalty. Then, why are you their leader? What are you leading exactly as a governor? The members of the state house of assembly are the first set of people you should be in close contact with, they should be your first set of supporters.

The impeachment won't work.

The governor sacked the former attorney general last December to appoint his own man.

The assembly needs the attorney general to constitute the impeachment panel or their impeachment exercise won't be legally recognized.

The assembly guys are just Wike's puppets. Nothing fubara can do to sway them. They all want him out because the emperor says so.

Rivers State:

The budget process start from the budget ministry, where it is been prepared,after receiving the budget proposal from the ministries, which is based on the year plans of the government, then it will be send to the executive council for approval, which after their approval the Governor or the President will present it to the state or national assembly in the case of the President it will be presented to the joint section of the national assembly,for it passage into law.

So, the executive council approved is part of the process, not the final stage for anyone to query

Also, as it is constitutionally required that, the Governor or President can spend money from the fund until 30 June of the current year, within which the budget of the current year supposed to have been passed. But all expense will be based on the preceding year budget, the preceding year budget was passed by the National Assembly as required by the law, for the national assembly to perform the functions of the state assembly, where the state assembly cannot sit. So, for now there is no constitutional breach as regards the governor spending.

The State governor is certainly not one to be trusted by PBAT.

Any State governor who can't sway even a good half number of the State Assembly irrespective of an external force ia certainly not doing many things right...

Anyways if his intention is to pocket the State Assembly to make them less of themselves then he is missing what it all is.

He can't hide under the APC to not do the right thing constitutionally and abiding by the law.

He doesn't look like he can sway any of them again. They have all been against him even before he demolished thier complex. It's a catch 22 state now.
