AFCON has entered the serious stage. The Round of 16 cleared the room, and now the boardroom is open. Nigeria are walking in confident, in form, and just dramatic enough to keep everyone alert.

The Super Eagles didn’t just reach the quarter-finals. They made noise doing it. But Nigerian fans know this lesson already: form means nothing if focus disappears, especially against an opponent that has had your number many times before.

Mozambique: When Everything Worked

Nigeria’s 4–0 win over Mozambique was pure dominance.

Osimhen, Lookman and Akor Adams. All three scored and assisted each other. Clean, hungry football. It was a front three playing like they’ve been together for years.

And quietly controlling everything was Alex Iwobi. No goals. No assists. Just complete authority. Tempo, balance, decision-making. The defence also did their job. No drama. No panic. A clean sheet. Finally, a complete performance.

Of course, it couldn’t be perfect. Midway through the second half, Osimhen and Lookman clashed after a decision in the final third. Osimhen got booked. Cameras caught everything. Social media exploded. Some fans booed. Others defended him.

Super Eagles shouldn't underestimate Algeria because it will be too bad.

There are 5 black African countries remaining here, and 3 Arab African countries.
If at least 2 back African country didn't play the finals, then shame on us black Africans

I disagree with part which says "the best defence" ...that's a big lie...Algeria does that cos they have been able to dominate the proceedings more in most of their games...you can say the same for Nigeria but Nigeria is playing a better football and they have the blend of crude African footbal in likes of onyeka and ndidi..they also have the finesse and European quality of Iwobi and lookman

Flashback to when they knocked us out ...we were playing a total difference blame then and it was more like our last ball is always finding the striker...again then we had lesser legs in the midfield and lacked creativity ....presently the team now play together as a team...also all our play is not going to the flanks anymore like it use to be back then...Iwobi or example is now playing in his most préfèred role ...


The only concern is the individual quality Algeria possesses ...they are God at deadball and they love to get fouls in dangerous places...aside that they will open the game against Nigeria and Dem go collect ...

Algeria team play like Man City, their defence is solid because of their midfield flair… spoil their midfield by not being too physical but tactical and you’ll win Algeria… Morocco is the problem for everyone because they might win the afcon

Some time back, when Northern Nigerians used to support any North African team that played against Nigeria, wholly, because of religion.





I'm sure they are still like that now.

They should collect their balance before Algeria send them packing.

It's better they book their flight ticket to avoid delay.

Once Nigeria can't score they become frustrated. Close down d midfield & stop any service to Osimehin up front . Put a tall defender to check him and set d offside trap.
