OP! This is so wrong. Your analysis of US. In the US we use pounds (lbs) and 1kg equals approximately 2.2 pounds. A 2.2 pounds of frozen processed chicken is about $6-$10. If you are looking to buy the more natural organic, not live chicken, it will definitely be more expensive.

So in a way, from my standpoint, I think it is pointless comparing both countries. We should focus on Nigeria instead of running a comparative analysis.

This is the question you should have asked if you did the investigation first.
Government in Nigeria supports farmers to reduce cost of eggs. Lagos State Government directly intervene to lower cost of eggs.

Subsidizing cost of chicken is a whole lot and I think that subsidizing chicken may be realistic soon as more people get into the tax bracket and enforcement of border security more to prevent smuggling it outside Nigeria.
