Someone must tell Obi about OBJECTIVE CRITICISM! Must EVERY Issue be Negative ??Am not crazy about Atiku but he is wayyyyyy better here. The way Obi rushes to issue negative criticisms mostly end in him making Blunders…… |

TimeManager:After trying so hard to defend your failed paymaster, you hilariously ended up making my point! The fact remains that these players were owed match bonuses and Obi condemned such negligence which prompted the usually reactive administration to recently make funds available to them! Next time try to take your silly advise before jumping into my mentions @TimeMismanager! |

Very irresponsible govt. Instead of them to explain why the bonuses are being delayed and provide clarify and accountability, they are attacking the opposition. I still cannot understand why the federal government of Tinubu would cancel NNPC debt? Pls make it make sense to us. |

bentenny:Get your facts right before being sad on behalf of anybody. To my understanding, those "students" refused to come back home. I believe that programe was cancelled in 2024 for new people, the old ones there were sorted out up till 2024 and arrangement was made for them to be back in Nigeria to continue their school. They abandoned themselves there nobody did. Despite their not wanting to come back home, the FG still promised to sort them out (just that they are not priorities). As for the AFCON, I don't know what business the government has in paying match bonus of the players that the NFF cannot do from all the money they are collecting from FIFA. If government want to audit their account or appoint chairman for them that is when they will cry to FIFA that government is interfering, that we should be banned. But to finance the team they will be asking the same government for money to meet their obligations. No be juju be that? How many top European countries are their governments paying players bonuses? |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by bentenny(m): 10:37am On Jan 10 |
soojar:In all your effort to defend the incompetence of the minister of education and by extension the FG,you did not provide a single evidence to prove that these students refused to come back home! Secondly, this is not the first time this is happening as I know a friend who was sent to another country to study on scholarship but could not come back due to no funds as the FG have abandoned them! Until you have proof to counter that of VDM,stay away from what you don't know! How many top European countries are their governments paying players bonuses?Like I always say, stay away from matters you have no information on! The FG have always sent funds to super eagles when they play tournaments because of the opaqueness of NFF! This has always been a norm! However, whatever issues FG have with NFF,it should not in any way be a form of distraction for the players who have a serious game against Algeria and the least of their distraction should be match bonuses which was finally paid after they decided to stop training in protest! |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 4:16pm On Jan 10 |
bentenny:What information do you have about me calling out NFF that you are trying to form "sabi" That the FG is always bailing the corrupt NFF out doesn't make it normal. I ask which of the European countries that FIFA is giving billions of Naira to like our own NFF is being financed fully by their governments. If it is about defending FG as you said, there is no administration that has surpassed the present one in terms of motivating the people in sports most especially the NFF that I have issues with. Past pledges NOT made by the present government have been fulfilled. The bonuses for the present tournament has been signed out as far back as november (according to reports, delays are as a result of players preferring foreign currency). Now, that is me defending this government! For the Morocco students, I thought you know everything as you keep writing "stay away from what you don't know" or you just learnt that phrase? well, you can read this- premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/848195-nigerian-government-denies-abandoning-students-on-morocco-scholarship. I attached a screenshot of a portion of the write up for you in case you want to "stay away from what you know"

soojar:This was your earlier assertions that the students refused to go back.... Pay attention to your own highlighted! Get your facts right before being sad on behalf of anybody. To my understanding, those "students" refused to come back home. I believe that programe was cancelled in 2024 for new people, the old ones there were sorted out up till 2024 and arrangement was made for them to be back in Nigeria to continue their school. Now go back to the attachment you provided and tell me where the students refused to return according to you! Secondly, this information from the FG through the minister of education was damage control after seeing the video of VDM with stranded students in Morocco! Now my questions....have they at any point provided an exit for these stranded students in Morocco before now? If they have can you provide such information? Next time you bring an information ensure you read it yourself to understand before trying to make an argument of it! We are here to learn not to win an argument! |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 7:54pm On Jan 10 |
bentenny:Good that we are on the same page about learning and not to win argument or throw subtle shade that you know better. What you quoted there is simple English. You can see the words "to my understanding" and "I believe" telling you that I am neither the minister of education nor the president who must have signed the memo on the discontinuation of the program, I can only rely on what they say. Same way I would expect someone like you who did not initiate the program, paid their school fees so far, in fact doesn't even know which flight they took to morocco to not be assertive that FG is doing damage control because your source of information too is just what you are hearing (except maybe you are the minster that took them there). The question you are asking me. The person in charge has answered it so how else or what evidence do you want me to give you. I should bring the call log of the minister to the students, a mail sent to them from the ministry or what information exactly. You are actually funny putting the word refused in bold. Is it difficult to just read the write up? and are you expecting to see the word refused there? really? The ministry said they have provided pathway for you to come back and finish your education in the university of your choice and all arrangement for your flight and movement will be taken care of, just write us and indicate your interest. You didn't do that but went on the street of Morocco to meet VDM, if that is not refusal what is it? acceptance? Guy just rest. I'm making a point and not argument but if you are in the mood for argument lets have your points, I'm available. We learn every day |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by bentenny(m): 8:58pm On Jan 10 |
soojar:Guy you are not making any sense with this latest coverup! You claimed the students refused to return as reasons why they are still at Morocco which is totally different from the attachment you presented as proof to buttress your point! As much as we are here to learn,it's important to take corrections when you err in your initial assertions! The question you are asking me. The person in charge has answered it so how else or what evidence do you want me to give you. I should bring the call log of the minister to the students, a mail sent to them from the ministry or what information exactly. If you don't know or are not aware or do not have access to what transpired, then don't get involved or make opinions that are false! If the minister claims he hasn't abandoned anyone and is fulfilling their obligation, the evidence is clearly shown by VDM's video as proof that these set of students at Morocco have obviously been abandoned! If the FG was running low on resources to sponsor their scholarship at Morocco, the commonsensical thing to do was to take them back to Nigeria instead of leaving them to suffer in a foreign country! Do you know a student has even died of TB! We don't need rebuttals but actions! Simple! You didn't do that but went on the street of Morocco to meet VDM, if that is not refusal what is it? acceptance?Guy you talk too much with little or no points made! Was your proof in form of your attachment in tandem with your now false assertions that the students REFUSED to return? Yes or no? How can you bring a proof that clearly doesn't agree with your made up opinions? Guy just rest. I'm making a point and not argument but if you are in the mood for argument lets have your points, I'm available.Unfortunately, your points are not good enough and your arguments are baseless! And no....from your writeups,it's obvious you have learnt nothing! |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 10:28pm On Jan 10 |
bentenny:Alright. Now that you have assumed you know all that transpired between the ministry and the students. Can you show evidence of contract the FG signed with the students or the letters issued to them? Even if you want to argue blindly try to do it with some kind of sense. The person doing the sponsoring issued a statement, yet you said they are doing damage control. Just to read has become difficult for you. I put a link there to read the premiumtimes publication and only cropped a part of it. read and maybe a portion of your ignorance can be cured. I just told you I don't have evidence beyond what the owner of the scholarship said. You are the one that now need to make some sense of your talking here and there. Let me break it down for you so you can go look for evidence to support your blind argument since I can't get provide any evidence for you other than what the ministry in charge of the whole matter said: 1. Who is in charge of the scholarship. FG 2. Who has been accused of abandoning students FG 3. Who has come out to say the programe has been discontinued and students have been told to indicate to come home FG Even though the FG still insist they will sort the remaining people there out to finish there (but not priority). Now your students said they have been abandoned, 1. Can you show evidence that they indicated interest to come back to Nigerian university and they were not attended to? No 2. Can you provide evidence that the program is still on? Of course not, since no be you go pay from your pocket. Even when we were in school with Shell Scholarship that was supposed to be for 3 years then, some schools got for only 1 year while some schools got for the 3 years. Somebody giving you scholarship can discontinue it at any time, and you can't force the money from his pocket. Well maybe you and VDM can take it up from there since you are insisting the FG can't stop what they started. We learn every day |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 10:36pm On Jan 10 |
bentenny:I forgot to address your obsession with the word refuse. If that word is what is giving you problem then I humbly withdraw it. I rephrase:: "The FG has discontinued the programe and given the students the option to return back home to study in Nigerian university of their choice but those your students DID NOT COMPLY" or "DID NOT ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL". Will you be okay with that? We learn every day |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by bentenny(m): 1:06am On Jan 11 |
soojar:Now let me provide you with the screenshot in text format “Consequently, only scholarships that are fully funded by foreign governments are now being supported,Now can you show me on this text format where the students DID NOT COMPLY" or "DID NOT ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL? |

| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 4:27am On Jan 11*. Modified: 4:51am On Jan 11 |
bentenny:From your mumble jumble can you show me where they your students accepted the offer and they were not sorted out. At least you have made effort to see that offers were made to them to come back since the programe will not be renewed. You can clearly see from what you pasted there (that's if you read it anyway) the same thing I've been pushing in your face that the programe has been discontinued, Yes or No? The FG has offered to bring those remaining back, Yes or No, The FG said they will still take care of the remaining people in the program if they choose to stay but no priority now (they were sorted out till 2024) only 2025 have not been paid Yes or No? So I don't know what exactly you are trying to claim. Drowning man holding unto straws is what I'm seeing here. If you have been a beneficiary of Scholarship before or you remotely know anyone even in the place you people call saner climes, you will know that there can be delays for whatever reasons in fulfilling the obligations. If you can't endure it or pay from your own pocket until the fund comes then leave the school and go back home. Not to now even talk of when the FG specifically told you they can't continue we can fix you up if you are ready to come back home or you can wait there while we sort your money out. Is the English that difficult to understand! We learn every day |
| Re: Mr Bitter Peter - Onanuga Mocks Obi Over Comment On Super Eagles’ Bonuses by soojar(m): 4:36am On Jan 11 |
bentenny:You that knows what transpired can you provide the evidence of what transpired? I just told you I don't know. Now bring your evidence of what transpired you started doing copy and paste google search for me. I thought you would produce a document you signed with the students since you are the one financing the scholarship. I never knew you will still come back to the same statement of FG that you accused of doing damage control. Next time before you start weeping for whatever you are weeping for, be sure to either be the one in charge or you have evidence or reasons why you are weeping. |
