The appeal against Congo how far guys. Is it still on?
There is nothing in it.

DRC did not breach any FIFA law.

All the players Nigeria are protesting against have parents and grand parents of Congolese origin.

Nigeria's protest against them is that there is a Congolese law that says you can not have two passports of different countries and represent them. Wan Bissaka and a host of others have same. This does not concern FIFA as long as your nationality is fully established.

Nothing stops the Congolese authorities from saying they have changed rheir law internally.

Well we are yet to hear from FIFA officially but you see the law of Congo, it doesn't allow dual citizenship. Have the players affected destroyed their foreign passport or officially came out to renounce their foreign citizenship?

Absolutely nothing stops Congo from saying they have changed their law. It is WC we are talking about here.

Internal laws no concern FIFA.

They will have to demonstrate when the changed law was gazetted.

We have chances ... but nobody has scored.. there is no need to remove him for now. Meanwhile..no alternative for Oshimen in that role.....Remove him..u give Algerians defence the leverage to attack fully.. His presence makes Algerian defence stay put.. Dis is football..it's not everytime goals come sharp sharp.. some u have to be patient until it comes.. Make some of u dey go play football for field sometimes...so u can know how difficult the game is..
Read what you quoted

FIFA technical committee that our own is part of has not decided on the petition so from all indications , I believe the law is the law and the will loose 3 points and Nigeria will proceed to Mexico

You just sound pained all through the threads, looking for where to attack Osihmen and his fans. Get a life abeg, even Finidi can't be this bitter

I ask again, na Finidi make dem draw Zimbabwe for Uyo, draw SA for away or na Finidi make Congo DR play una like small pikin for that play off
The team was poor, during the qualifiers, eric chelle took over a terrible team and the same team is doing very well now, you cant blame eric chelle for the world cup loss he just came in, he needed time to get to know the team, the players can take some blame too but finidi and i think it was eguaveon or poseiro who began the qualifiers should take majority of the blame. Finidi has been in the system for years as an assistant he should have known better.

They are not Congolese citizens because they do not v Congolese citizenship and passport. So in the eyes of fifa ,they are machineries from other European countries playing for Congo with European passports.
They do not possess Congolese passports which would v made them Congolese citizens

The law is the law and this is even more severe than the South Africa own that they had just one player yet FIFA defucted 3 points
So is Congo more influential than the law or the south Africa that was punished ?

If Super Eagles were playing passionately like this, we would have qualified to play the next world cup, it's too bad that we missed World Cup twice.

You are not getting it. Congo stated their eligibility law to the FIFA, not only Congo but other countries.

Some of the Congo players used fake pass to get eligibility from FIFA

Though, I would prefer Congo to be fined than losing the spot for the world cup

Honestly, I've been seeing football matches these days courtesy of the fact that I'm less busy at the moment. (Especially this Afcon!)

And just like in real life, the moment a particular team entertains fear against an opponent, just know that, that game is over for them. They are going to lose, for sure.

When fear comes, then comes defeat, or failure.

After two minutes into the Nig-Alg game, you could literally see fear in them. They were highly tensed. And our SE kept pressing.

No, no, no, this is not because I read Psychology in school, but the obvious fact. Even Zinedine Zidane seeing the match felt the heat; his mood and facial appearance spoke volumes of uneasiness.

Mind you, I saw all Algeria's games from start to finish, and how he looked and really smiled and laughed, especially in the first three match es.

His son Zidane, the goalie, was largely unburdened, unstressed, and uncalled-upon in their previous matches, and that was why he had kept three clean sheets. In fact, all the entire team didn't feel "one" heat - defenders o.., midfielders o.., forwards o.. they beat their opponents with ease.

But today, lolz, I pitied them. Under ten minutes all of them were sweating profusely. I was just laughing.

Wo, whatever you do, or want to do, just remove fear! Fear is a disaster.

Remember: when fear comes, then comes defeat.

(If you saw their match against Congo, you would realize that Congo didn't play well because they were scares of them.)

I doubt Nigeria can win these case, there is something called sporting nationality if you can prove ties either your parent or grandparent is from that country then you are eligible to represent that country, Dr congo players don't even need to be legal citizens of congo to be eligible to represent Dr congo. I doubt FIFA would favour Nigeria, FIFA don't even care much about local law.
