Isaac Fayose, a social commentator and brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that neither the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, nor Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, can win Rivers State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election without electoral manipulation.

Fayose made the assertion in a video posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, where he spoke in a mix of English and Pidgin languages while reacting to the prolonged political crisis in Rivers State.

“Make we no deceive ourselves,” Fayose said.

“Both Wike and Fubara, none of them can win Rivers election for APC or Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 without rigging. The only person that can win Rivers State for Tinubu is INEC and the Police, not Fubara and not Wike.”

According to him, the ongoing rift between the former governor and his successor was not driven by public interest but by a struggle over control of the state’s resources.

“Wike and Fubara are fighting for Rivers’ resources,” he alleged.

“Fubara has saved a lot of money, and Wike is looking at this money. That is what they are fighting for.”

Fayose further argued that both political camps lacked the grassroots support needed to secure an electoral victory for the APC in Rivers State, particularly if the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, remains on the ballot in 2027.

“If Peter Obi is on the ballot, neither Wike nor Fubara can get 25 per cent of the total votes cast for APC in Rivers State,” he claimed.

He also criticised recent political tours and outreach efforts by the rival camps, describing them as ineffective attempts to influence voters through financial inducements.

“All the tours they have been doing to grease people’s hands in poverty are not up to 30,000 people,” Fayose said.

He added, “The real voters in Rivers State are just looking at them.”

What money cannot do, more money can do it, according to one popular politician.
Aside from seizing ballot boxes, destroying evidences and according to their words “financial war chest”, what else do they have to win elections. They believe that their money can get them the positions, so they must move mountains to achieve their goals.

Sadly the citizens, suffering from many years of impoverishment, are not willing to stand behind their votes. They choose to receive money and other gifts to vote for the wrong candidates and then join the queue of those lamenting for the hardship caused by those that they wrongfully voted for.

If elections are free and fair in this country, many of those holding political positions will never get there.

Thank God this is coming from a person outside the south south region. Whenever I say it here that Tinubu and APC cannot get 25% in the SS states, especially here in Delta some person start arguing blindly with me.
Come here and confirm, it’s only massive rigging will manage to give him 25% here.

You are correct, only rigging can save Wike, We in Rivers for the presidential elections won't vote Tinubu' for sure(only rigging can give him votes) but for Gubernatorial elections we will vote SIM(only rigging will make Wike's candidate win).

Tinubu is more unpopular today that he was on election day 2023. No thanks to his many harsh anti people policies that has made life more difficult for the struggling masses.

The only way Tinubu will win is by rigging /voter intimidation, buying inec and supreme court. He is bribing governors to decamp and help him rig elections.

But only God knows what 2027 will look like. Man can only plan

in southwest state sef in 2023 he fail in osun state & lagos state that he call his hometown
But what I know is that anybody that have it in his / her plan to rig for APC what happened to Job in the bible that is what is going to happened to the person
