I used MTN as alternate and I've not had any problems

Same but this time around they are telling i had to link a new number and i can't do it cus i don't even receive OTP to the MTN number

the issue happened to me for almost a week I couldn’t browse I called the customer care and they told me to go their office which I did and the alternative number was fixed and it started browsing immediately

My guy is having that problem. Till now it's not browsing and not unlinking. He's even taken it to their office and they couldn't fix it.

I just got my own odu ... Network is very bad at home as expected... But at work still normal... There must be a way to make this fast .. it has 3g but I don think the 3g will be as good as the 4g router

I honestly don't understand why it's a problem because even in the past i remember using MTN as my alternate number even my Airtel number on my Mifi i used MTN as alternate number and I've not had any problems with it and i also used my email when i registered...even got OTP on the email

try moving it around in your home..as you're moving it you're running speed tests

But the ideal thing for people wanting to buy and use the Airtel ODU package is for them to have a normal Airtel working Sim with which they should register on the My Airtel app, then use same number as their alternate number for all the ODUs. If possible, open SmartCash account with the normal Sim too.

That way, subscription and checking of balance can easily be done from the app.

I used an MTN number. Now they aren't sending OTP. This is frustrating.

I read somewhere here on Nairaland that there is a 10% discount if I do the sub through My Airtel App.

After adjusting some settings, I placed it in the same spot where I usually keep my 4G router whenever I’m at home and boom.. this is what I am getting

The customer care should be able to delink it, my was having issue of 2 numbers linked to my router I took it to airtel office they said they can’t do it , so the lady contacted someone at the head office and it was done for me in few minutes

I was using the odu in Lagos(worked flawlessly) but moved to akure.
I get around 30-40 mbps in the morning but from 8am
It becomes unusable(not up to 1mbps) and only band 8 & 3 are available here.
It's mounted on a pole with clear sight(no obstructions)

I think I'd port to fiberx after this subscription is expired. I can't stream nothing all January since I came back from travel.

I have one guy using this but I have not explored the cell locking with it. I'd assume it'd be similar to X17M, so you should check advanced settings from device options. Band locking should be good enough.

If you want cell locking you may need to check the root user interface.

That's correct. But the payment has to be via SmartCash.

Maybe it was the head office they should contact. But he stayed there for a while and left without solution.

All networks are bad within the premises but outside it's normal. I just thought that since odu is outdoor it would be better

I subscribed using smartcash but i didn't get the bonus sha...I logged into my my Airtel app with my smartcash number and then subscribed my ODU from there using smartcash as mode of payment
