I just finished watching "butterfly". It's not a Korean drama but has in it some Korean stars. The series is filmed in the context and settings of Korea. You'd love it for love of the Korean culture. The MVP in the drama for me is Kim Tae Hee. I missed her so much having seen her last in Forbidden love. Although she's featured in recent works in the likes of Welcome to Sam Dal Ri and Hi! Bye Mama but I'm yet to see it. From S01 cliffhanger, It seems we won't see her in the next season. It's not as if she was given that much of a screentime yet they wish to cut her off completely.

Overall, I enjoyed the series. If you don't mind American - Korean works, I'd recommend you give it a watch. Prepared to be entertained with the actions and thrilling moments. The series is pretty straightforward. No too many flashbacks or upsets. It's just about a man trying to get his estranged daughter back from a spy organization he once left. The show throws us into a cat and mice game where a hunter dreaded and feared becomes the prey without knowing it.

To KTR, never stop smiling. I wish you all the best in your next project

Happy birthday to han Joo wan. I know he's technically left the acting industry but I thought of him today. He was a talented actor. Too bad he decided to be a naughty boy 🤷

Go ara has left kingkong. She wasn't even there for long. I think she signed with them in 2023. Oh well I wish her all the best wherever she goes next

I heard ML got cancelled

‎Taxi driver 3 has ended. omo the villain in this last week is such a bi!tch tho like he's basically the same thing as a deranged cult leader. lol so because I've been complaining about how Kim do ki alone has been fighting thousands of people since season 1 without getting injured 🤣 they decided to give us injury this time which was even more fake than him getting away with no injuries 🤣 cos what do you mean this crazy man is shooting and you people just stood in front of him without trying to run until he hit go Eun. then oga walked in front of him to get shot lol very weird/dumb. one thing about this show, even though it is very action focused, it still knows how to bring up the warm feelings. immediately the elements girls came down from the truck, I legit started tearing up 🤣 I know it's just fiction but I was like these poor girls that would have been in so much trouble if they weren't saved by the taxi driver team, now look at them shining so bright 🤣 then seeing all the victims from episode 1 attend the concert, it was heartwarming. of course they ended with a cliffhanger that could definitely be the beginning of season 4 and it is looking every bit as ridiculous as the 1st episode of season 2🤣. Why do young ladies never crush on Kim do ki🤣 why is it always older weird women 🤣. I don't know if we will get season 4 or not but I can definitely see it happening. seriously tho, I can't believe how lucky pyo ye Jin was to get this role. to think she wasn't even the original person cast as goeun but because the first actress was involved in an unfortunate scandal, she was replaced with pyo ye Jin and now the girl can always count on taxi driver for paychecks 🤣. By the way, why did jeon so nee kill herself? I'm not exactly sure how wide that amount of c4 exploding would go but I feel like she could have left it to explode and just stay far from it. instead she chose to commit "suicide" or did she think it was better to kill herself than for her to get captured and tortured/killed by the enemy?

Watched the teaser for han ji min and Park sung hoon's upcoming drama and 😩 from what I can see, it's definitely a love triangle 😭😭😭 can we not start 2026 with stress!!

I'm seated for the Netflix's upcoming drama starring Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung. Of course, I'm in for my swt hrt. The title itself is charming and captivating. Since it's Netflix, all episodes will be released at once. A good way to binge watch all. From the trailer, the drama looks promising. Nth much about. I know it'd be just a decent love story. This will be a good way to spark up my love life.

Urghhhh the way I rolled my eyes so hard when the best friend in idol I confessed he liked the female lead 🙄 I'm like Jesus can we not 🤣🤣🤣 it's like dynamite kiss. Why do all these people who have been best friends since primary 5 keep harboring feelings for their friends 🙄🙄 you've had 100 years beside the person, you never confessed suddenly when the person is interested in someone else, they will come with their dry confession mtcheww 🤣 thankfully the girl has rejected him clearly so I hope it ends there and they don't drag it out again.

Spring fever has a lot of cuteness and I hope it stays that way. I love how the teachers gossip and spread rumors with so much authority 🤣 even the love triangle here doesn't seem serious cos the boys are frenemies. Here's hoping it continues to stay light and breezy

NCT's jisung has been cast in season 2 of crash. I can't wait.

Oh dong min and noh sussana are getting married. I know they have been dating for a while. I'm happy for them

So I said something about not being able to watch any drama from beginning to end without getting bored BUT guys Spring Fever is everything I need in a drama right now. I don't know what is wrong with me because even the exaggerated parts makes me happy. I'm enjoying every part of it. I hope the drama continues being unreasonably funny

So far I like no tail to tell and lol I'm glad shin SE kyung rejected the role cos I can't see her play this character 🤣 Kim hye yoon is amazing as usual and my Solomon is a hottie. I just hope the story stays interesting and sensible cos this one that they're switching fate upandan lol. I can't believe si yeol forgot eunho after 9 years, I mean how many times do you meet a gumiho in real life lol. That part was very unbelievable. I like that the two footballers are good friends even with their professional rivalry. I will hate it if they suddenly make them enemies. I'm a bit wary of woo seok's dad. It's probably cos I've seen him act a lot of evil roles but I have a feeling he'll turn wicked when he becomes rich again (I hope not). Glad to see Lee si woo back in dramaland. I missed her.

Album exports are declining in Japan and China. Japanese local idols have emerged and are rising organically, and the local group that seemed unable to even compete with K-pop 3-4 years ago has emerged. K-pop's appearance in ‘NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen’ has levelled up the local idol's skills. However, the journalist predicted a rebound with the return of BTS and BLACKPINK this year.

K-DRAMA
The declining number of drama supply on OTT market indicates that there is no suitable purchaser of K-Drama other than Netflix and Disney+. The overseas purchase is not increasing proportionally, despite the increase in production costs. Though Netflix promised to purchase USD 600 mn worth of dramas annually for 3 years, due to increasing production cost, the number of episodes produced is decreasing to cover the production cost per episode.


K-MOVIE
Reaching its peak during "Parasite", k-movie is declining since COVID-19. With the domestic market fundamental collapse, production companies are losing the ability to reinvest, resulting in the slowing down of new film supply.

The 'Korean elements' that were once the exclusive domain of K-dramas and K-movies are already being assimilated within the American production systems of Hollywood and Netflix. While we cheered the Oscar trophy for the film 'Minari' and the eight Emmy wins for Netflix's black comedy 'BEEF', viewed within the context of K-content exports, this poses the challenge of the 'paradox of success'. Frustrating script is not my best lately as I enjoy only comedy. It's nice to watch tho I didn't fast forward any scene

I came down here in the morning to write an epistle on how much I love the drama and GYJ and then suddenly my device went off and lost all progress. I just logged out and continued with my daily activities. The motivation and excitement... Gone! Lemme see if I can put down a summary

I remember writing I missed Kim Soo Hyun and my heart is already drifting towards GYJ. So KSH should better return to my screen as I don't want to find myself cheating on her with GYJ. And that I love CTLBT. The cinematography and acting is top-notch! Kudos to the stars involved. ML did well in mastering The art of translation. The only downside for me is in the second half run of the drama where there seem to be a drift from romcom to psychological thriller. Still the drama did not lose its charm. All in all, It's a good watch!

Cha Eun woo is in tax wahala. Honestly when it comes to tax issues, I'm never in a hurry to blame the celebrities because most times their agencies who are supposed to handle the stuff are the ones evading but because the celebrity is the one with the popular name, they bear the criticism. Of course there are celebrities who purposely evade taxes so we will never know who is actually a criminal or a victim of circumstances. I just want to say I'm glad he's in the military currently cos netizens and stalkers would have flooded his house to attack him. There are people already saying he enlisted to hide in the military while the investigation is going on and I'm like 😩
