Why are all major Tinubu supporters promoting Peter Obi their man Friday? From Keyamo to Fayose, etc; they want the coalition to present Obi. Why does it look like they are afraid of a northern candidate, especially the serial contester Atiku? Their fear is too obvious.

Activist lawyer and public commentator, Deji Adeyanju, has claimed that key supporters of President Bola Tinubu are quietly backing former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to emerge as the presidential flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Adeyanju alleged that prominent Tinubu allies, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, are subtly promoting Obi’s candidacy within the ADC.

He made the assertion while reacting to Fayose’s recent comment describing Obi as the only viable figure within the ADC. Fayose had said, “Peter Obi is the only life in ADC. Other lives there are semi-existing. Atiku and Tambuwal destroyed PDP.”

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Adeyanju questioned the motive behind what he described as coordinated support for Obi by Tinubu’s loyalists. He suggested that their actions were driven by fear of a strong northern presidential contender.

“Why are all major Tinubu supporters promoting Peter Obi, their man Friday?” Adeyanju wrote. “From Keyamo to Fayose, etc; they want the coalition to present Obi.”

He further argued that the ruling party’s allies appeared uncomfortable with the possibility of a northern candidate emerging from the opposition coalition, particularly former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom he described as a “serial contester.”

“Why does it look like they are afraid of a northern candidate, especially the serial contester Atiku?” he added. “Their fear is too obvious.”

Adeyanju’s comments have sparked renewed debate within Nigeria’s political space, as discussions intensify around opposition realignments, coalition politics, and the search for a formidable challenger ahead of the next presidential election.

A direct Peter Obi vs Tinubu is a walkover so we want that. An Atiku without a Peter Obi is also a walkover so we also want that. The only tough ticket is Atiku/Peter Obi. That one won't be walkover. It will be keenly contested but Tinubu will still win.

The truth is clear, wether Ade want to hide the obvious or not, an average Nigerian want Nigeria with new modern governence, not those old fashioned people who will favour only their loyalties with jussy opponent whether they merit it or not. Nigeria need re-form, in reality Tunibu is even more better than all the so call North candidates, my reason is simple: Tinubu, do introduce reforms that even Peter Obi will have done if he was the one in the seat, the only different is timing and the people that were given the task, all what Nigeria need now is not much of infrastructure but industrialization which will drive the infrastructure. Nigerians need enabling ground that they can produce and refine what we harvest locally without relieving on foreigners, we don't need government that will be paying us with just peanuts, while they pack everything to themselves and because they provide peanut many will see such as working government, waras their legacy will always hurt Nigeria with more poverty because after they left the ordinary Nigerian can sustain himself without the free manna, PO is the only man that can give Nigerian Net to fish. Tinubu doesn’t see atiku as a threat as far as the structure of governors and federal might is concerned. Obi don’t need a political structure. He prove it in the last election.

While tinubu and atiku scrabbled the backwards and poor states. The fear of tinubu camp is the southern votes because northern votes is not sure this time.

Only Atiku as ADC candidate in Nigeria has what it takes to defeat an incumbent Tinubu even though i know PBAT would end up winning the election.
If you know what it takes to stand up against Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007, you'll not take a PBAT that has power of incumbency for granted.
Presenting Peter Obi can't and won't defeat Tinubu in 2027.
A man that fought Buhari's cabal to come out victorious in 2023 election is who some people think Peter Obi can defeat as an incumbent that he is LWKMD.
Presenting Abubakar Atiku makes the election a tight one but if ADC make the mistake of presenting Peter Obi, well, they can as well start preparing for 2031 because 2027 would then be a walk over.
Atiku/Obi fit win Tinubu (without power of incumbency) but una see dis Tinubu wey get power of incumbency, dem no born anybody well to win am.
Atiku's biggest chance of becoming president was in 2023, to me, I don't see him becoming Nigeria president in this lifetime. Dat motor don move since.
I'm neither supporting any of them, I'm only tell myself the truth.

Any candidate presented under a united opposition umbrella of ADC will defeat Tinubu because Tinubu failed in:

1.) Making Nigeria safe and secure; kidnapping is on the rise all over the country

2.) Poverty, hunger, hopelessness is on the increase since Tinubu foisted himself on Nigerians through INEC

3.) Youth unemployment is in its highest form in Nigeria under Southwest Regional President Tinubu

4.) Bigotry, nepotism and division are all at their peak point under Tinubu's divisive regime of nepotism and ethnic division



The only pathway for Tinubu to win is through massive rigging using both INEC, security and state Governors and this is what Tinubu has been busy working on, and I expect opposition leaders to prepare well for this because that is the only way Tinubu can win reelection in 2027!


Tinubu's failure is known and felt even in his own immediate family, nobody can deny that Tinubu is the worst President Nigeria ever had, so who in his right senses will vote such a failure to continue?

They know in their heart of hearts that neither Atiku nor Obi would be able to upstage Tinubu, come 2027.

Coming together may be of help but, even at that, they would still be unable to prevail against the crafty Jagaban.

Tinubu is always a step ahead of the opposition parties.

No amount of wishful thinking or gangup would be able to oust Tinubu from power, except by divine intervention.
