In a functional society, these rag tag bandits and terrorists should be handled by the police and not the military.

Kudos to our police
Una no just get sense. You complain about everything.

A fully armed militia spread across multiple states will be handled by the police. What nonsense are you saying? Don't talk for the sake of it but be sure you know what you're talking about. These are people in forests, are police trained to operate in forests?

Complain with sense.

Pellow Kwantiri-mans this video clip get K-leg BECAUSE the Nigerian police do NOT own a single "attack" helicopter. Police helicopters in Nigeria perform the same functions as police helicopters anywhere else, namely for surveillance and transportation.

In this video clip, we see a burning village with lots of people standing around the place calmly BECAUSE they are NOT under attack from the helicopter circling above. Most likely this village was set aflame by terrorists, following which Nigerian troops carried out a counter attack that sent the terrorists fleeing.

With the village back in the hands of federal troops, the helicopter was sent to have a look at the area, where it circled very low without frightening anyone on the ground because all the people on the ground knew the terrorist attack was over, and that the helicopter was there as part of the security response.

The Nigerian Air Force is in fact executing numerous successful air strikes against terrorists in their camps, but this footage is NOT related to any of those ongoing ground attack operations. If the helicopter from which this footage was filmed had been firing at the ground, NOBODY on the ground would be standing by casually sight-seeing as shown in this video clip because they would be shooting back or running helter-skelter to avoid getting strafed from above.
Nigerian police owns Bell 412 Helicopters armed backdoor with GPMG for counter Terrorism operations.

The NPF has been employing the use of lightly armed Bell Helicopters for CT operations with the role of reconnaissance, SAR, Special Forces operations, etc. The Nigerian police has an air wing.

Correct yourself.

I hope this is not content creation
It’s obviously content creation because police do not own helicopters and by the way this is the army’s job not police. Nigeria we hail thee. What AIT is portraying is not what it looks like. But then again apc agenda must agend

The Nigeria Police Force which is part of Nigeria Armed Forces is taking back it's glory. The NPF has different sizes of machine used strictly for major operations kept in state headquarters. Late President Shehu Shagari empowered the NPF mopols. I've been seeing police convoys with different grades of MGs in Jos, Plateau State heading to hot volatile areas.

It's obvious, TINUBU is out for business 👌.
Don't mislead the public.
Nigerian police is NOT in anyway part of the Armed forces.

This is encouraging news. I stand corrected. Good to see that police helicopters can take the fight to military levels of firepower.

With that said, this video clip still looks very odd and incongruous. The helicopter is flying way too low for safe passage over any active war zone where RPG and small arms fire would be a real danger, and secondly, the people on the ground look relaxed, which would not be the case if that helicopter's door gunner was spraying them liberally with machinegun fire.

If the story behind the video is that the area had ALREADY been secured after the terrorists had been chased away, leaving armed vigilante and military men on the ground as those houses burned, then the low altitude of the helicopter, the calm demeanor of those on the ground, and the absence of return fire from the ground, would all add up to a plausible scenario.

Since the claim being made about this video is that the helicopter was actively strafing the ground, with all the targeted individuals just standing in clear view, then I would be forced to reach for my bullchit whistle on this particular video clip.

That's why state police is very important

The federal police becomes very professional and effective

State police made up state indigene or residents they quickly identify them cos of their affinity to the state

Pass the intel to the federal police if they don't have helicopters

And boom

Nigeria needs state police

Finally Nigerian Police have launched a content creation business to help generate more revenue for Tinubu shocked

This is purely an entertainment video meant to excite Bola Tinubu's people and to also deceive some unsuspecting and uninformed Nigerians.

You are carrying out an air assault on terrorists and none of the terrorists sighted from your video shot back at you while you made attempt to dodge their bullets, none of them even showed sign of being under attack or being scared that there is an air assault, they were all walking around cheerful going about their businesses in the Hamlet and one of the Police video producers inside the copter had to shove another Officer inside the same copter to create clearer view for the camera man covering the whole entertainment video.

APC wonders cheesy

Not entirely correct, in many countries, when its terrorism case whether inside a country or outside, military forces can be deployed to handle the situation complimenting police effort

Remember military can deal with terrorists both within and outside a country

These heeidiots really take us for fools... No dead bodies, no bandits running or shooting back. No gun fire, just a stupid helicopter with bottled of water hovering around destroyed buildings (probably belonging to natives).

You people should be able to do better Na, the operation seems to be on going but there's no exchange of gun fire, no KIA, no one has caught. This federal government of terrorists should keep deceiving themselves. Only heeeediots will believe this.

I wonder ooo...I saw about 20 terrorists gathering in front of a house like they were doing family meeting, the officers in the helicopter saw them too but ignored them and looked the other way, those terrorists don't even look bothered at all...the operation looked staged.

You already got it.
The helicopter was flying low as the entire area had been secured. Notice that the men on ground were quite casual, feeling safe, as the place had been secured and they had set fire to the location.

I think that we must praise our military when the right things are done. I am of the opinion that it was the lackadaisical attitude and sabotaging efforts of certain officers, in conjunction with crooked leaders in the country, that he brought us to this precipice.

Once again, I think that the attack of Donald Trump brought about this seriousness and change. Hopefully these vampires should be completely flushed out before the end of the year, if the tempo is sustained. Bear in mind that the principal incentive for these evil people, is the mineral resources found in those communities that they attack. Cow rustling and kidnapping are just the side shows.

You're truly clueless if you think the police will conduct an operation of this magnitude by themselves without collaboration with the military.
