A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, has reacted to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, asking the party to field Peter Obi as its presidential candidate come 2027.

In a post on his verified X handle on Monday, Momodu likened the call by Fayose as an outsider weeping louder than the bereaved.

DAILY POST recalls that Fayose had said the ADC’s case would worse if it fails to make Obi its presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Reacting, the publisher of the Ovation Magazine said, “As a matter of fact, I was really surprised to see my brother, former Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, begging the ADC to field former Governor Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in 2027.

“Wonderful Lord! This is a classic case of an outsider weeping louder than the bereaved.”

DAILY POST recalls that Obi and other notable South-East leaders recently defected to the ADC.

Fat Dele should allow pitobi breath in ADC nau, haba! He should campaign for Atiku in peace, but leave obi alone while doing that. Fayose is actually right when he said ADC should field Obi, because it's still the turn of the South to occupy Aso Rock for at least the next 5 years. However alagbafo, a perennial failure, who has no job other than doing failed PR for politicians won't allow a Southern candidate emerge from ADC, because Atiku's dollars.
