Job Title: Accounts Officer with accommodation

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)
Reports to: CFO


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage the day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate general ledger records for our real estate firm.
He/She will support both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and meeting all reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including processing journal entries and ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger.
Perform comprehensive and timely reconciliations of all bank statements, vendor accounts, and various general ledger accounts.
Support both Accounts Payable (invoice verification, processing) and Accounts Receivable (basic invoicing, follow-up) functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, schedules, and working papers, ensuring compliance with established financial procedures and statutory regulations.
Collaborate with the Finance team to uphold and enforce robust internal financial controls and operational procedures.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other social sciences.
Strong command of financial processes and procedures, and be able to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to ledgers and accounts.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software is essential.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and perform accurately under pressure.
