MorataFC:The question is - how did Kanu win the awards? The focus here is on thier exploits with the SE |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 9:53pm On Jan 12 |
I'd rather Eguavoen or Yobo at RB than this Aina I am seeing everywhere. Nothing against Aina but he doesn't have the body of work in the SE to get into the ALL TIME list. We are talking ALL TIME here... |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by MorataFC: 10:04pm On Jan 12 |
Roland17:The same calamity Yobo?😅😂😅 |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 10:06pm On Jan 12 |
MorataFC:Does he have the body of work with the SE in comparison to Aina? That is the question.. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 10:13pm On Jan 12 |
Roland17:Eguavoen played 49 times and Aina already has 48 caps. Eguavoen was also consistently a weak link in the team. Yobo played primarily as a CB and maybe 10-15 caps early on as RB. We have not produced many good RBs so it is slim pickings. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 10:15pm On Jan 12 |
Roland17:At RB he does not. |

popizaino:Formation that is being carried by Mbappe ![]() All these ones na shalaye.. Dem don pursue Alonso with him 4-4-2 At Bayern Leverkusen where he was successful and almost went invisible the whole season, which formation was he using?? I'm sure he has learnt his lesson and won't try any rubbishh 4-4-2 at his next Club |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by WhoDeyHause: 10:20pm On Jan 12 |
Gbanu this, Okogba that. Real ones know who the main G of Nigerian football is. Not showboaters now dancing for bet companies or barren forwards who one day didn't make us proud when we faced Cameroon at home. RIP Rashidi Yekini Aka The Goals father 🕊️🙏🏿

StarchAndBanga:Is Mbappe a Chelsea player or was Mbappe coached by Maresca? 71.4 % win rate with a 4-4-2 formation tells me the formation was a success. |

airmark:As senior man wey you be, we no fit dispute your experience |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 10:36pm On Jan 12 |
afrodoc2:Still not enough. Eguavoen has the appearances including qualifiers, an AFCON winner and WC participant. That is more body work than Aina has. If Aina was on this roster and go all the way, then I can concede. I will still pick Yobo ahead of him. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:39pm On Jan 12 |
Roland17:Naija does not anything at RB. Calamity Yobo can never force his way in SE all-time team. Na for Everton dem know am, not Super Eagles. Almost every centreback partner was better than him from Danny Shittu to Omeruo |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 10:41pm On Jan 12 |
Roland17:We can’t just put all the AFCON winners and WC participants straight into the list. We have to consider what you individually did or did not do in those appearances. You would place Yobo ahead of him at RB based off 10 caps? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by StarchAndBanga: 10:46pm On Jan 12 |
popizaino:All this ones na shalaye. Madrid is not Assnal, they don't see being second as a good achievement. If it was a success, he won't be chased away mid-season. He won't have lost the final vs Barcelona yesterday if it was a success. They saw the writing on the wall and chased him out, rightly so.. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Unlimited22: 10:46pm On Jan 12 |
I am actually surprised nobody attempted to argue Enyeama and Rufai At least just for argument sake 😂😂😂 |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Unlimited22: 10:50pm On Jan 12 |
As For Ola Aina, I didn't watch Eguavoen, saw very little of Yobo at RB, but Aina has no major honour to his name in SE colours Eguavoen and Yobo have that. They also went to World cups. Aina has not. Unfortunately, this counts against him. As for the older egbon them here, nobody has also tried to make a case for Christian Chukwu, Félix Owolabi, Henry Nwosu, Adokiye Amiesimaka and Según Odegbami. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 10:54pm On Jan 12 |
Unlimited22:Enyeama is clear. Out of the oldies. Odegbami, Muda Lawal, and Christian Chukwu in that order have the best claims. Odegbami is battling Finidi. That’s tough. He was the greatest Nigerian player pre that 1994 squad sha. Muda Lawal is now forgotten because he died young but he was probably next to Odegbami in terms of ability and prestige. Christian Chukwu’s coaching misdemeanours make people view him a certain way. |

Gallagher already chased from Spain. |

|
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 12:57am On Jan 13 |
airmark:Odegbami has a great case, I can't argue. It's not easy to be Nigeria's top goalscorer from the wing, but I can't speak on football from Black and White era based on few highlights from one tournament |

airmark:Sunday Mba is one of the greatest Nigerian players ever - he bossed an AFCON final ![]() I wonder why Raumdeuter excluded him from his list

@ Afrodoc2, do you know why Mike Obiku was shunned by Super Eagles? I mean, this is a stellar record
|
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 3:40am On Jan 13 |
Ibime:2 words. Rashidi Yekini. Obiku like Richard Owubokiri suffered the fate of those Westerhof believed could not play with Yekini. Every other regular attacking player was versatile. The team was settled and Westerhof would have allowed only people who knew their place or who were exceptional beyond what he had into that group. |

Madrid wooful performance and the general level of la Liga is the only reason Barcelona look good. They will get exposed in the champions league by any descent team. I would love us to get them in the knockout stages. |
