Was Terry-G controversial? I've never read any controversy about Terry-G, except usual musicians beef.

Terry-g was controversial. The media then tagged him with that word, because of his surprising lyrics. He hardly writes down his lyrics, he just go to recorder and spits dem out all raw. No time.

And those substances(drugs, liquor, cigarettes) he always takes before going to sing his songs inside the studio, and was like an advocate/ambassador for those things was another angle.

Lastly, His energy, character on stage or video was so weird.

He was a mad man. Lol.
