Yea, they can make bad decisions on the pitch because of their hatred they have towards a particular country.

Its after the match that players, teams will start complaining, writing petitions to sue the referee, but it will be too late, because the deed has already been done. The referee may face the court later, but the team(players) has already lost the match, except if the football body intervene very quickly that they may revise the match, but its a complicated issue.

You are asking how it will stop the ball from entering the goalpost. Many things can affect it. Maybe when nigeria is awarded a corner-kick for example, the ref may overturn it saying its not a corner. He may not award free-kicks too. And these are opportunities which players could use to score goals.
