Interesting but I'm surprised and this is why

Man utd is a top club playing and behaving like a mid-tier club at the present.
How many players in this current squad are world class? Contrast that with the time the squad had world class players.
Of course, the issue with having numerous world class players is that the coach has problems managing their egos as Xabi Alonso had with Real Madrid.

Now, the club is simply trying to adapt Alex Ferguson's winning DNA and all signings and transfers are to this end - which is the reason former club legends are being given the nod over established coaches as we know it.

So long players turn up for whichever coach gets on the team - Manchester United players don't seem to get along with many of the coaches - they can always fight for the top position.

In short, no high expectations if it all, these testing of ideas or formations isn't really what a big club like Manchester United fancy.

Old Gunnar Solksjaer did achieve 2nd position but truth is coaches that came after him haven't done much better, maybe he is really not what United need at the moment, the level we're in is not so attractive to invite top players and coaches alike. If Michael Carrick can take away all this mid vibes, then maybe OGS can get back into the conversation, he's more of a long-term manager than interim.

Oga Jude…just so you know….yes the management had their problems which frustrated Amorim….but Amorim himself was not a good coach….he is too rigid with a single formation and forcing players with unique abilities into a style that doesn’t fit them. This is what Alex Ferguson knew that others didn’t….so those of you that are telling us that even Alex didn’t have it easy at the start…we know but he also knew how to change tactics were necessary
