No allowances. Anyone that told you so is deceiving you. The only thing is you might get to travel for training once in a long while and they pay for those travels

Both Scientific Officers and Engineers are started from GL 7/01, if you are lucky enough to have upper hand during capturing with the management they can put you on GL 7/02 but it's mostly GL 7/01. If you have Masters GL 8/01. If you have a PhD GL 9/01 (Senior Engineer or Senior Scientific Officer)

How on earth are they helping you by giving you figures? Will the figures pay your bills? Will the figures help you get the job. The real help you need here is getting the job first. I think we have a misplaced priority here. Let's focus on helping people get job if we can and leave figures out of it especially if it's not genuine. What these figures does is to throw people into fantasy world

Now, this is the payslip of an Agency if we go by the gross, this person is earning close to 400k monthly but the net pay that hits his account is barely 300k. This is how it is with all works. People quote those high figures most a times not knowing they're gross figures not net.

So the salary is over 400 but not up to 450. I won’t say the exact amount. Upfront is not all the time that it’s paid. This year, there is a high chance that it won’t be paid. Then if you are a science student, there are allowances. They get to go on assignments with agencies like shell etc. but for arts students there are no allowances. Maybe if you are fortunate enough to work it to special duties, then you might be sent on assignments and you can earn something. She just said apart from the pay, no allowances. If you have other options you should consider but if you don’t then it’s still fine.

All agencies and parastatals reviewed salary between 2023-2025 so I think those under information aren't left out. They should also have a new salary structure

I apologise to everyone concern regarding the back and forth we had on salaries and figures here. I just came to realise that it's one of the core essence of the thread. I'm just concerned about some false figures flying here reason why I revolted at a point.
Again, I apologise for countering many comments here..
