Every impartial observer knows that the fight to control the resources is the driving factors behind the unnecessary bloodshed. Whoever controls the area , controls the mining sites and everything. That's not to excuse the fundamentalist who are mere pun in the scheme of things , thinking they're fighting for God while actually helping some unseen hands achieve their goals. Putindbutt: |

Good development The same way they stole our oil. Those chinese don't have good mission in Nigeria. Chinese will be stealing our lithium resources and be sending back to us Lithium batteries on high price. Nigeria government should have company through PPP that can produce lithium batteries here in Nigeria and also export finish product to other nations. |

ignis:^^^ Illegal mining in this country (not just in Northern Nigeria alone) has been going on for many, many years. People just didn't know because it was being done quietly, with little or no violence. That changed in the last 20 years when the battle for control of mining sites began to heat up. Throw in heavily armed non-state actors and...we are where we are today. |

This is one of the reasons terrorist are attacking the villages in Kwara state. Sending them away from their town is the main reason so illegal mining can done without any disturb from the indigenes. They care less about religion |

But if these solid mineral resources are found in Nigeria, why is the government borrowing money that they will spend without transparency and accountability? Nigeria is very corrupt country. |
