I think you're overestimating.

I don't believe a combo of Mr Obi + a Northern vice can defeat the President. The APC machinery seems to be just too strong particularly with most Governors now in the Party.

In any case, my feeling (just a feeling!) is that baring death or serious physical incapacity, Mr Tinubu will win by whatever means necessary in 2027.

Whether it is by riging, or any other means, APC will win. If it needs money, APC with all their Governors will outspend the opposition. If it needs sharing an unprecedented N100,000 per voter at the polling booth, they (particularly Southern Governors) will find the money.

Even if it means locking up the INEC Chief in a dingy room while election results are written and handed to him or his deputy to read out. APC will do it. After the announcement, they will ask the opposition to go to court.

The only reason Tinubu won't win the next election is if Atiku is given the ticket and Obi his running mate. Anything else is an automatic victory for Tinubu

APC have no problem going against PO. It will be a walkover. A southerner cannot oust an incumbent southerner. Moreover, Obi is not sellable in the North as an Igbo.

They will only become jittery if Atiku is leading the ticket and Obi is VP candidate.
