If they're that good, we wouldn't make it to penalty shootout. They should have won in 90 minutes.
They outplayed us, but we fought till the end... Penalty is always pure luck in football. Even the best of player can miss penalty.

My only issues with Super Eagle is lack of confidence in big matches.
Once any team start putting pressure on them at first 1-5 minutes of game, they'll lose confidence and start playing in panic mode til the end.

...why won't they ...its just like you in a ring to fight and knowing that 1. Everybody there watching supports you...2. The entire country supports you and..lastly the organizers support...why won't your skill outshine ur opponent...when your opponent knows that its them against the world...their prowess and charisma must shrink that was the situation of Nigeria team...though my issue with them was that they were forming big boys...doing low waist, chewing gum any how and painting ball....in my humble opinion such serious matches should be played on a neutral ground.

Get your fact right bro. There has never been a world cup without an Africa Ref like 5 official representing Africa. What you would say is that no Nigeria Ref has officiated the world cup but definitely every world cup like upto 5 or more African ref officiate the world cup. And guess what an Africa Ref has officiated the finals of a world cup. Said Belqola was a Moroccan football referee, best known for officiating the 1998 FIFA World Cup final between Brazil and France.

This goes to show that most Nigerians ranting online just started watching football. Because if you havew been watching world cups matches you will be seeing lots of Africa REfs officiating important matches at the world cup even last world cup self i think about 7 or 8 refs.
