Public primary and secondary schools across the country are rotting away in shameful neglect, courtesy of governors and other so-called stakeholders in education. What we see here is not an isolated case, in fact, many states in Nigeria are doing even worse, though they pretend otherwise. The real comedy, however, begins the moment a photograph of a school like this is taken from the North or SW and given the slightest attention. Instantly, the professional defenders of nonsense will mobilise. Their keyboard commandos will swarm social media, typing absolute rubbish as though their villages are glittering hubs of fully automated, ultra-modern, Silicon-Valley-standard public schools. Now that the embarrassment is coming from same place, they cannot conveniently shout it down. Watch them scramble for excuses. They will offer explanations so twisted, jaundiced, and intellectually bankrupt that even a baby goat, one with questionable eyesight, would reject them outrightly. |

After the three national clowns(Abia former governors)where sent to Abia to go make trouble since the amiable Abia state governor refuse to join APC and the mission failed woefully, they have commissioned the data boys to go into media war against the governor but guess what, governor Alex Otti dont even need to make a single comment,as his works speaks for him. Go to Ariaria market or even Douglas road in Abia state and a say a bad word about governor Alex Otti and the masses will instantly mob you. He is so loved that he may not need campaign to win 95% of Abia vote. That governor is in a class of his own,he is the man of the people,Abians see him as God sent. His good works speaks for him,his kind comes once in a life time. His a blessing to Abia state. While on other news 'A public school at Odokerere in Ikorodu owned by the Lagos State government collapsed on pupils while receiving lessons'!shameless data boys jumped the news, yeye dey smell. |

Public primary schools are under direct supervision of LGAs. This is one area that impacts of local governments can be felt and complementary to what the state government does. I will hold both the Abia State Government and the LGA Chairman of the area these deplorable schools are located. I will not blame only the State Government. I will rather hold him responsible for not putting enough pressure on the Abia State local governments leadership. |
